Hi guys, I realise that I'm rather late to the party but I have finally bought myself a Shift and was wondering what is the best I can do to make this the best it can be (RAM, SSD, Win 7/8, WM 6.5, etc)

I've not used WM for a while so will be a bit rusty on that side but think most tinkering will be within my abilities

There will be more questions to follow but just want to get it up and running in a fashion before I break it again lol

I saw that there was a possiblity that the RAM was this stuff;

Anyone tried it?

Thanks guys. Rather excited about getting my new toy!

Sorry, no, wrong connector. Here you've got the pins at the side of RamBoard,
what you need is one with connector on the backside like this one:
Must be one of the cheapest you can get- sometimes it's up to 200 Euro
You should also replace your HDD by a SSD which drains less power, produces less temperature and by this
makes the fan run less often which will also save battery.

But the very first step to do is liberate your shift which you can learn by reading closely the threads related to it,
then find a wm6.5 rom which pleases you, and after this think about which version of windows you like...
