Guys,

I had installed ARHD 51 (that contains 4.4.2). But now, I wish to go to stock. I see that HTCDEV does not have a RUU for 4.4. The latest RUU that's present is for 4.3. But when I run that, I get error 155 and the RUU stops without upgrading.

Any ideas / hints / tips on how I could get back to stock? Even 4.3 will do, as I can work my way through to the latest stock using OTA's.

Please help.

I had to downgrade hboot (to 1.44) in order to run the RUU

4.2.2? I have been using 4.4 for a few months, we are waiting for 4.4.2 to drop

I wrote 4.4.2, you misread that. As you said, we received 4.4 and the end of november or early december.

My suspicion, not gonna happen until sense 6.0

It would be weird for them to leave the Unlocked/Dev edition phones a point release behind carrier models, wouldn't it? I guess we just need to hang in there and wait a little to see if 4.4.2 arrives for our phones or not.

I just got the update notification on my dev edition to upgrade to 4.4.2 (4.19.1540.4). It's about 312.22 mb in size.

Will download at night using my Wi-Fi at home & update you all.

Same here. I didn't automatically get it. I was in a very very boring meeting and was just playing with my phone. And I happened to check for updates and Bingo!! :D

Installing now...

Hopefully this fixes the battery drain issues I've been experiencing with 4.4.

Guys,

I have a question. I am not sure if this is the right forum. Couldn't find anything else.

I have a Developer's Edition. Sometime ago I had ARHD51 installed. I wanted to go to stock, but since 4.4 RUU was not yet released, I had no choice but to S-Off my Dev Edition phone, which I did using rumrunner. S-Off took place, no issues. I still had my bootloader unlocked. Then I ran 3.22.1540.1 RUU. It ran - no issues about it. Soon, I got my OTA to 4.4.

Then, after installing the OTA, I started setting up my phone & settings & apps. That's when I noticed this alert:

See the attachment... The text in red. Not sure why it is there. Why is my machine being viewed as test machine and so, why should my IMEI & Phone number be visible to htc?

Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

UPDATE: I also ran this command in ADB SHELL to remove the TAMPERED flag from bootloader - echo -ne '\x00' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7 bs=1 seek=4265988
I got this from http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2477792

I think this is normal. Don't worry too much about it.
It just says when you agree, the device becomes a test device and HTC is allowed to use diagnostic data from your device.

    can you pull the partition an upload

    EDIT: @alray, nevermind the red comment above (I was looking at something else and got myself confused :eek:), both dd and flash should work fine, but upload the stock recovery anyway when you get a chance

    Here it is
    mega.co.nz:stock recovery for 6.07.1540.1 (mmcblk0p34.img)

    Tested it myself, it works fine. You can flash it directly using fastboot

    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery mmcblk0p34-6.07.1540.1.img
    fastboot erase cache
    fastboot reboot-bootloader

    for reference, here is how the recovery was pulled:

    @Seyaru do you have the stock hboot of 6.07.1540.1? If so can you upload it please?

    @M_Shaaban
    @7ftnick
    I think you both were looking for that recovery

    thanks to @rc420head for testing this firmware.zip on his phone. See results at post #1045

    link #2 (androidfilehost.com)
    link #3 (dev-host)
    MD5: e565b0ebba873222dabbfc55376cb187
    ------>After you have restored the above nandroid backup, do a factory reset right away<------

    You flash above files at your own risk, I'm not responsible if you brick your phone
    i.e flashing the firmware incorrectly like some pple did :rolleyes:

    edit: AGAIN::
    Do not flash the firmware if you don't know what you are doing!
    I.e: flashing a 5.XX.XXX.X firmware over a 3.XX.XXX.X firmware WILL brick your phone ---> QHSUSB_DLOAD
