For now only UV

Didn't try new attempt to OC

Send from my cm-11 jfltexx

ΒΤW any chance that you would re-enable OC any time soon? My note seems to UV quite well so I would like to experiment with the headroom that I'm given, I mean it would be nice if I could turn it into extra performance; say running 2.1Ghz at 1.212v, I would expect no throttling if I'm able to manage such a clock/voltage.

Maybe any beta kernels laying around to experiment it a bit?

Thanks btw for the kernel, it seems rock solid for the time being, like stock only better.

If you like stock better, why mess with my kernel, and ask for beta versions

I'm sorry, English is not my first language but at no point have i hinted that I prefer stock kernel over yours.

Anyway I understand that you wouldn't like to give out beta kernels which I totally respect. Still if you are ever up to checking the oc capabilities of note 2014 I'm all for being a tester.

If you want to see what is done in my test builds, look here:

Bitbucket Commits

and cifs, ntfs is included

About test build #004 cpu oc is not working. Underclocking on the other hand is working fine. GPU oc is working, but gpu is scaling to 600 Mhz although I have set gpu max speed to 667:confused: I get a bit lower scores with antutu (32.000 instead of 34.000). Generally it seems stable. I would love to test build #005 and future builds. Thank you again Danny, you are on the right track!

The GPU stock max speed is 600 MHz so from what I can it didn't work

Can you post a screen of the result from the test the detailed breakdown of the score please

I am sorry but I don't have time to flash stock kernel right now. You can test yourself using this little utility. It shows live on screen the current Mhz that GPU is running and the gpu voltage

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hgegb7s06x67wr0/MaliStatus-T628MP6.apk

For setting GPU max speed you need to change the file scaling_max_freq_gpu located in
/sys/devices/system/spu/spu0/cpufreq/

I ment with GPU overclocked so we can compare with other test builds as with the test build I'm using I'm getting 34300 on average

2d graphics score 1661
3d graphics score 9814

Your scores higher?

Ok its 2d: 1659
and 3d: 9889

but this is not a way to determine GPU frequency. Did you use the utility to check max gpu frequency? What did it display? Can you test with gfxbench to compare results?

Updated mine hits 600mhz while playing dead trigger so I'm guessing that's max atm. Thanks for the handy tool might come in use soon ;)
Yeah why not which tests you want me to run?

It hits 600 Mhz with stock kernel? I guess I didn't push mine too much with stock kernel. About gfxbench I run Manhattan and T-rex and got 230(3,7 fps) and 877 (16,0 fps) for each.

We might have a problem pcmag in their review got 42fps onscreen in gfx benchmark :/

I'm not here to be consumerfriendly, this is development....
If you have NO CLUE on what i'm writing, use search, but don't ask HERE
If search didn't help, you might better off be on STOCK kernel

    HOWTO FLASH
    1. Download the zipfiles from roms.bindroid.com (Click banner below)
    2. Move those to your Device

    Kernel for Wifi & 3G Users ! ! !
    1. Flash BinDroid-Kernel-SM-P600-P601-XXX.zip
    2. Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache
    3. Reboot

    If WiFi doesn't work
    1. Edit your build.prop located in: /system
    2. Find the line that says: ro.securestorage.support=true
    3. Edit it to: ro.securestorage.support=false
You might have to move your build.prop out of the system, then edit, and place back in /system
There are apps to edit your build.prop as well

If you want to go back
Recover with modded boot.img or stock boot.img
    Kernel-SM-P600-Stock-modded.zip

    V2 is online.

Started with a fresh source to start some new mods, and see the result here: V2.0.0

There are NO OC values in this kernel for CPU or GPU.

For me, optimizing the kernel in other ways is more importent. And will result in better use, and save the kernel

You have a boosted kernel, with corrected colour scaling now.... Have Fun

    All info on 1st page

I started my kernel build again.

This will now be tested by me before going live

I will make a test "dir" for those who want to test test-builds
But no reports on xda about test builds

If you want to report on those builds, PM me your google account mail, so I can add you to a hangout.

Fot now we are back to a stock build
