Are u already confirm your bbm registration ?
First check your email, if there is nothing new in inbox, check spam folder.. there must be a new email from BB that tells you to confirm the registration.
If you have confirm it already, but no luck, perhaps you have something wrong in phone's time and date configuration. Also if there is no sim card, maybe inserting sim card can help

try hsdpa or wifi,after bbm finished setting up you can use it on edge mode.well im using edge when chatting,messages delivered smoothly.

Hi bro..
i finally succes install bbm gingerbread,
the problem is that my hyperion rom on galaxy young is missing IMEI,
so i read the thread and found how to make it appear again (using RIL Fix)
after my IMEI appear i try to open BBM again
and walaaa.. its alive... its alive...
so happy can use bbm on Galaxy Young 1.

great news that our oldschool GB android can use BBM for now!
oke lets just start
- Rooted
- Titanium Backup
1. install bbm port from ics
(the old one had force close)

2. open and do backup bbm with titanium backup
3. uninstall that bbm
4. install bbm for gingerbread
beta

5. restore data only on titanium
backup
6. thats it. just register and enjoy your bbm.

Its working excellent on my Samsung Galaxy y running AOSP 2.3.7
Also working fine on 2.3.6 GB
