Hey all, I'm new to the GS4 world. We moved carriers from Verizon to AT&T and I was given a GS4 that was set on Verizon.

I was able to use Safestrap and gain root however it stops there.
Honestly right now the recovery mode doesn't work and neither does LTE. It's of course well documented on the LTE item, I need a new load to enable that.

Hence why I'm here.

I've been used to Motorola and LG. My go to has been CM-X but when I attempted an install on this device it simply would not play nice.
There are so many iterations of this device. I hoped some guidance from the community would do well.

I have the MK2 build.
Any assistance would be great. I'm going to spend all of tonight searching through the forums of course but it's a rather unique setup.
A ROM on the MK2 that will work on AT&T.

Thanks to all who even read this. The community is what drives XDA to be the go to place. I hope to contribute more as I familiarize myself with this device.

The Rom you are will work you will need to add the APN settings

APN: phone
Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
Port: <Leave in Blank>
Username: <Leave in Blank>
Password: <Leave in Blank>
Server: <Leave in Blank>
MMS proxy:
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one
Bearer: leave it to the Default one

Use appquarantine or Titanium backup to freeze the verizon apps it will work well and all works even MMS
good luck

I've been happy for the most part with it. It's just the lack of LTE that points me at new ROMs

The i545 doesn't have the band to support AT&T LTE. Already been there and tried that. Also add "fota" to the APN type.

Verizon got a nationwide license in the upper C block. That's what it's using to provide its 700 MHz spectrum. AT&T bought smaller licenses in the lower portion of the 700 MHz band. same band different blocks... At&t screwed the pooch here and made their handsets incompatible with anyone else in the 700 band.

Your really only loosing like 8Mbps anyway though...
