Dear RedScorpio, I have 2 new image that give similar error, both Android 4.4 on A31. As I understand, it is a new format from PhoenixSuite that you are looking into to support it. Maybe my image will help you to understand better :
www . dropbox . com /s/9wg77cr2ls5fd4c/MyPad%201001%20HD_update.img
www . dropbox . com /s/nt40u5tnvqtt1c5/MyPad%201001%20HD%203G_update.img

Because of this error, I am afraid to use a repacked image and brick the Tablet.

and then

update_uboot_crc u-boot.fex config-new.fex the exe gpfs after reading the input. I've uploaded the files to dropbox if Lolet would like to see what is causing the GPF.

Could you reupload the files if you still have the problem?

You can't brick the AW device by flashing a bad FW. Anyway the error is normal with new SDK.

Hello, Extreme noobie, I've been reading through this thread and pretty sure I'm missing something, but I wanted to create a Recovery for my Android TV Box- CS918S A31S CPU. I've always seen the recovery file com out as an img instead of an fex. Is there something im not doing? Im using the Auto Build from CWM http://builder.clockworkmod.com/ but it keeps failing when using the recovery.fex. Any tips? Thanks

no offense but I think that question doesn't belong to this thread. i can't see the relationship between cwm building and imgrepackr.

Sorry and no worries, but I'm unable to read the ReadMe file in the zip. Its either corrupted or I dont have the langauge pack installed for what it calls for. Is there a complete english version?

run imgrepackr without arguments, this will give you an idea of how you have to use it.

Thanks for the tips before, but i'm back with another question. I always successfully decompile recovery, but never able to recompile it when changes are made or added. What am I doing wrong?
