I got mine (black) off Newegg a couple weeks ago for $250. I missed the 10% off promo. I honestly couldn't be happier with this tablet. It's the perfect size, Yes, it could be more powerful, but it's more than enough to run the most intense games (Deus Ex, Asphalt 8), and the screen could be brighter - it's bright enough for my dim apartment at 90%, but sometimes you need to turn things up to 11.
This is the perfect tablet for me. A 7" screen is just a bit too small, and a 10" tablet is just too dang big to hold comfortably. This is my first tablet. I wanted one to read ebooks, play games, and take with me instead of my laptop (and I #@%$ing hate laptops). My laptop is 4 years old, and if I had a smartphone back then, I would have stuck with desktops like I have for the previous 10 years.
A few months ago, I would have happily paid the typical $330-350 price for this, if I could have afforded it. Now, with the Samsung Tab Pro 8.4, I probably would have gone with that one, or saved a few bucks with a Nexus 7 (2013). But with the $250 price on the LG 8.3, this was perfect for me. For $250. this tablet is a fantastic deal. The only thing that can compare in value IMO is the Hisense Sero 7 Pro for $150 (or less).
