I own both phones they are sat on my desk here side by side. I owned the nexus 5 first. Positives are almost everything except the battery and the camera. Both are not bad but not stellar.
Previous to both phones I owned the LGG2 and it's only because the phone is soft bricked that I am not still using it. Personally I would go for the LGG2 again.
As for the Sony I have owned it three days so can't really comment too much. I can't use the sony features where I live so I get no gain there.
Screen is great BUT !!!!!!!!!!!
I brought this phone at the airport for 550 dollars, it came with a free case. While waiting for my flight I unbox and slip the phone into my pocket to see how it fits. Then I fit the case. The case is a flip one that protects the screen.
This morning I can see that there is a scratch on the screen, deep enough for my nail to feel it on the touch screen.
Now frankly that is RIDICULOUS. I haven't scratched a screen like that since before gorilla glass. Now I have to remove the film and void my warranty to fit a new screen protector.
It's simply not acceptable and really has totally ruined my experience with the phone.
As for the actual phone, coming from the nexus the screen feels small, if I keep the phone I think I will get used to it. Camera not used yet, Battery seems pretty good.
All in all it seems like a great phone but the screen scratch issue has left me gutted.
