Is there any chance to restore the drm keys i i didnt backup the ta partition?

No. They are lost forever, as they are unique for each single device.

I wouldn't worry much about it. You'll not be able to buy overpriced music & video from Sony, and you'll loose the artifical Bravia colour "enhancement"

I wiped my TA partition 9 months ago and I haven't missed it at all.

You are right, though, if he likes or uses of that stuff, he will lose it... And, I like Bravia Engine.
