PhilZ Touch is a CWM Advanced Edition that adds all the features you could ever miss in CWM
It is a well proven recovery for many phones

It also adds a full touch interface a completely configurable GUI

Please give your feedback, what works, and any bug you could encounter
Read the features, and check if you are missing something

To take a screen shot, just long press outside a menu (2 sec and slightly change pressure after the delay)

Also, do not forget to read about the powerful aroma file manager integration and double tap shortcut

Sorry man don't have a clue what your talking about lol. Are we talking about a Rom with aroma? We don't have one yet. And also our device name is m8whl
Edit. It's not m8spr I don't want users to get confused lol, I had to double check myself.

wired as his device input is even better than mine
However, they have no filtering for some sensors events:
https://github.com/amarullz/AROMA-Filemanager/blob/master/src/libs/input/input_driver.c#L142

You could try to add this line here:
https://github.com/amarullz/AROMA-Filemanager/blob/master/src/libs/input/input_driver.c#L389
Code:
LOGW("INDR : EVIOCGNAME for %d\n", dev->name);

Compile aroma and start it. Get from the log the device id
You can post the log here if you are unsure you need to blacklist the device
Add the device blacklisted name to the INDR_blacklist() function or post the log here and I will write you a small code snippet to add it

That way you can see if you need to blacklist some input device (accelerometers often) interfering with it. I see no other reason for it

There seems to be no option to backup to the external sd card. Options are sdcard or storage/sdcard1 which are both the internal storage.
storage/sdcard1 should be the external sd.

There was a problem reported with CWM back on the OG EVO, so I used AmonRa. Then with the Jewel, I used TWRP, so honestly, I'm unfamiliar with this recovery.

However, I made a backup of Steal's stock ROM on my external sd card, and the recovery said it was successful.

But, after I couldn't get past the splash screen on their new build, I tried to restore from my external sd card, and it claimed there were no files found. So, I tried internal, just to see if I'm senile, and no files found.

I did click the option for TWRP style or whatever, but shouldn't it still find it?

Anyway, I'm glad I kept those files handy so I could do a fresh install of the original release.

Files do not disappear by their own
Read the FAQ to understand why when using some cm/aokp based work you don't see your files, and how you can see them !
