Anyways the time that samsung uses to "upgrade and improve" the firmwares isnt has great has the modded roms. So i left the stock a long ago and i dont think there would be anything desirable from the samsung upgrades.
I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time for an update on a lower end recent generation device. But the 210r is at nearly 120 days without any version update and that is pathetic. I try not to root my devices anymore as I usually pass them on to my kids and don't want to mess with flashing but I may have to make an exception. If this is how Samsung is going to support there devices I see the community quickly moving away from them

greetings from malaysia. Currently im using samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 (model number sm t211, android version 4.1.2, baseband number t211xxanb1). My question is can this model able to upgrate or convert to sm t215 variant which has LTE capability..?

LTE is a different frequency, so no, your tablet won't be able to "convert" to the SM-T215, which is a completely different model. According to samsung.com, the tablet already has mobile frequency built in, is that not enough?

haha.. as much as I love Samsung tablets and phones, I never buying another one. Their support is terrible. I understand they have tons of tablets and phones out there but their update speed is garbage. My other tablet, LG Pad 8.3 was release in October I believe and we got Kit kat recently. The tab 3 8.0 I got in June and I'm still waiting. Samsung is bigger company with more employees so I don't see why they can't keep up with updates. The only reason why Galaxy's phone got 4.3 was because of their gear. No gear, no update.

If its upgradable that must mean they will have the update out for the Lite release. Might have been a slip on Samsungs part, but I'm sure they confirmed further firmware updates for Galaxy Tab 3.0.1http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-3-lite-official-7-inches-jelly-bean
Apparently it launches with Android 4.2 It's the same hardware as the normal 7-inch Tab 3. (One with Marvell CPU)

Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210, SM-T210R, and SM-T211 and the new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite are all the same internal hardware, the only difference is the R model has infared, and the 211 has 3G. Other than that, same CPU and SoC. I really expect Samsung to update every single model to 4.2 (and hopefully 4.4 in future).1There seems to be a 4.2.2 for a really similar device already.

Shouldn't need to port anything really.
The SM-T110 (Galaxy Tab 3 Lite) is identical to the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in terms of hardware, only difference is the lesser camera and smaller battery. Other than that, same CPU, same screen same GPU same RAM.
