Yes, i was the one that bought jb to the sensation.

I will be working on the g2, maybe a kernel, but i might look into optimizing the stock rom a bit too.

For anyone with d802 that is rooted, you can flash cloudyfa's knock code kernel (look in his cloudyflex thread and you should use his flex or pro rom) to fix the hiss bug completly

Edit: You can also use dorimanx 4.3.1 to fix this issue (or any kernel that is based on lg's latest kernel source)

Now there is no downside with kitkat versus jb for me

Hi, are you talking about official lg's update or a fix via custom rom installation?

I am bit noob here so please be forgiving if I asked something stupid.

Thank you.

I've only had the phone since Wednesday, if i got it earlier you would have had a fix when the bug first appeared.

This replaces the stock sound effects with cyanogenmods dsp manager.

Are you talking about the headphones-hissing fix not being included? Bummer... I saw a few comments say that the hissing is gone after the latest update

thats apparently on Vodaphone 20b.

This way of Android updating by LG is ludacris. To bad only Google with its Nexus range can quickly fix and update. At least with their newest Nexus ones anyway.

An official LG update just rolled out on unlocked euro devices.

Updated 10mins ago, audio is fixed, no more static and hissing sounds, everything seems VERY GOOD.

new software version: D80220d-EUR-XX

P.S. phone seems to be using less RAM aswell.
