[Q] keyboard lag

Hi there, I have had this wonderful tablet for over two years, but have just recently rooted it, and wanted to know if with this I would be able to fix a couple issues that I've coped with up until now: is there a way to get back the crisp smoothness there was with Ice Cream Sandwich that got lost somewhere around JB update? (I'm mostly talking about multitask, chrome, google now and overall asus launcher, which nowadays give me a hard time)? And most of all, how can I make the keyboard aas responsive as it is on small apps (such as google keep) on other word processors like quickoffice? This one is the weiredest for me as I can write pages on Keep without losing key lag, whereas the exact same text will make keys lag almost a second on 'better' word managers.
