I'm pretty sure this is going to be a hardware problem, but I wanted to see if anyone has experienced anything similar. Yesterday, without any reason, the keyboard on my dock stopped working. The touchpad, USB port, card reader, and charging port all still work, but nothing is coming from the keyboard. Even the caps lock key is not lighting up when I press it. I'm hoping I can crack it open and it'll be a simple repair, but I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this.

Ribbon Cable
I solved my own problem. I don't have a star driver with me (on the road for work), so I didn't think I would be able to open the dock until I got home. However, I found I was able to open the top edge sufficiently to see that the ribbon cable from the keyboard was completely detached. The retainer was locked, so I'm wondering if it came like that from the factory and just finally came loose after two years.
