[ROM][4.4.4][ Unofficially Omni ROM | Ascend P6 | Stable ][Update 09/11/2014]

Hi surdu! This ROM is getting closer everyday more to a complete custom ROM...
But hey! I found many annoying bugs and i can't deal with them.
I live in Italy, i was wondering if i can get the GPS working (bug found only on chinese based roms).
Another bug is the "no more avaiable space " bug that pop up while installing an app. Obviously i have 500+ MB of free internal space.
The last one afflicts music, i saw the beats addon on the op (and i tried almost all android EQs ), bit the sound is all but clean and the bass seems to be miles away.
I tested both HTC one earbuds andò my pair of Pioneer se m290 (which has a frequency response of 5hz-20khz so dont say buy better headphones!

New completely updated soon !

Hello !

Because I managed to fix : bluetooth audio ad2p issue, incoming call bugs & also the minor bug related to network display (3G->H) , a new update will be here soon !

The new update will be almost completely functional , apart FMRadio and switch storage internal/external ! ( lack of source code at this time, to be implemented ... )

Adb over wifi and gps was already tested and it's OK !

Hi!

You must try tomorrow the next update ! All your issue should be fixed apart option for switch storage internal/external .... there is no source code to be able to implement this stuff , at this time .

Hi there.

To fix the “no more available space” issue:
1 uninstall the old version of the app.
2. Open a file manager, and look in the folder “/data/app-lib/”
You will see there is a folder for each app installed on your phone.
Find the folder for the app, and delete the folder. Sometimes there is more than 1 folder for the app when you get this error (delete all of them)..
3. Install the new version of the app.

This works for me. I read it somewhere on crash, but can't remember who to give credit for the answer. He explained it as a general android issue - not linked to any specific rom..

It should work for you too. If not, let me know and I'll look for the origional article explaining all the detail...

System camera is FC'ing by gallery app, i use the (new) Google Camera from play store and it works.

On the other hand:
Is this incoming call bug already known?
- Phone is not used currently (display is off)
- Call is coming -> display doesnt switches on, manually switching on will work and call can be taken

Display actually does switch on but with a ~5 second delay, yes its a known bug since the release of the rom and surdu seems to have fixed it in the next update.

Install on HYD52ROM V3?

Hello,

Can I install this ROM if I'm on HYD52ROM V3? Of course with full wipe, but do I really need to be on the latest Kitkat beta? I'm on TWRP 2.6.3.7.

Yes you can but I would install TWRP 2.7.0.0 it works much better.

As I promised , today I'll release a new update for OmniROM, with mostly of issues fixed !

Here you can find also how to fix gps , to be able to use any navigation gps !

Fix GPS :

please install from PlayStore : GPS Status & Toolbox
open this app and perform this actions :
- Tools -> Compass calibration
- Tools -> Calibrate pitch and roll
- Tools -> Manage A-GPS state -> Reset
- activate your data network or wifi
- Tools -> Manage A-GPS state -> Download
- deactivate your data network or wifi
- right now you are able to use successfully any navigation gps application !

Today later, I'll try to update my "device tree" for github OmniROM !

Also I'll try to push on Officially Github OmniROM, maybe we can bring an officially build, if they consider that everything's in order

In the next build I'll try ( but I cannot promise ) to fix Dolby service issue ( this app is in beta stage ) - and also I'll try to add switch storage option internal/external !

About FMRadio, I can not say much at the moment ...
