CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

BEFORE INSTALLING BUGS ARE

No Recovery.... So unless you know how to use fastboot i suggest you not install it.
What you do is install the ROM then install Gapps and SuperSU If you want to revert to a different ROM you will need to first flash boot.img from one one of my earlier ROMs or a different rom entirely from fastboot.
So just to recap install the ROM.... Do not leave recovery, flash Gapps Do not leave recovery, then flash SuperSU and it will work.

If anyone who used this ROM can just check hangouts for me and see if it works i would appreciate it. I dont use it or know anyone else who does. Thanks.

Only problem I know of is the microphone, the receiving end doesn't hear anything.

So far, so good. It's more responsive than Beanstalk, but the camera still can't save to the SD card.

Other than the camera issue, good work, deedwar!

Reboots Spotify

I'm having problems with spotify, when I try to login, the screen goes black and i can't do anything, I have to restart.

Anyone have this problem or something to fix it?

Go to Developer options, check Disable HW overlays, start Spotify and login, once logged in go back and uncheck Disable HW overlays in Developer options.

hey deedwar,

really great that you're still around and working on new ROMs for the XAS!
i've done a fresh install of this one and the first impression seems to be good!

except for the still existing bug of all opensemc based ROM's:
setting a persistent/manual chosen mobile network fails.
steps to reproduce:
  1. settings -> mobile networks -> network operators
  2. wait until the search is over
  3. select the network of choice
  4. wait while it tries to reigster...
  5. receive a toast that reports failure registering
the logcat is attached.
the bad thing about this is that if you live near a border, the phone will eventually switch to a roaming network if that has stronger signal, which is really annoying.

but still: thanks again for holding the acro s' ground!!!

edit:
after a couple of reboots, there's also an annoying message popping up. it says
SIM card added
Restart your device to access the mobile network

it has a restart button, which takes the phone into recovery which is strange enough.
it can be dismissed using the back button.

i have tried upgrading the baseband from
8660-AAABQOLYM-314010-35
to
8660-AAABQOLYM-314010-39
but it's not helping.

    Ok there is a new release in the first post.

    But there is one issue and that is that it has no recovery. SO make sure you know how to use fastboot to flash another boot.img if you want to swap back to another ROM. (on my todo list) So as there is no recovery you need to flash the ROM the Gapps and SuperSU all at the same time. DO NOT LEAVE RECOVERY. So install ROM then install Gapps then install SuperSU. I linked all the files in the first post.

    Sources are essentially from @mickybart which is from @billchen1977 with a lot of changes
    CM 12.0 Release so it is Lollipop not kitkat.

    Ok i just updated to the latest source. I dont think ant+ works but worth a try i havent got anything to test with it.
