[Q] Google Dialer on Sony Z2

Hi - just wondering if anyone managed to get the new Google Dialer working on the Sony Z2

That is one of the main feature I miss from my Nexus 5, the Caller ID!!

It installs and opens just fine but crashes when I try to call

Installs fine but crashes when making a call or pressing call history icon.

maybe it will work on AOSP rom only.

You need more than just the dialer. It requires other apks, can't remember them off of the top of my head

I miss the Google dialer because the Sony one doesn't integrate well with Google Voice

All my outgoing calls look like they are to random numbers!

That's good to know. I just started using GV after getting my Z2 and those random numbers have been driving me crazy.

I also just started using built in SIP with Tue stock dialer and shows calls as number@IP address, I hope the Google dialer will the IP address off.

Both of those make it so you can really use your recent call history to make calls.

There was some things with the interface I like better on the Z2 dialer than the Google dialer I was using on my old phone except that it does rotate while in call in landscape.
