Think maybe if I kept it like it is and tried to root it again it could work?

Everyone ready to feel stupid? Because I sure as hell do! I uninstalled the faux-root with su's setting, factory reset it, then manually updated it. Now it works fine and I have no clue what changed. Thanks for the help guys!
