Will this work on TMO D801 ?

Edit : never mind found the hidden note. I have been looking for a method to downgrade phone, and I didn't found one that was working. If anyone has succeeded to downgrade his Tmobile LG G2, please paste me the link.

Thumbs up D801 T Mobile 4.4.2 Rooted and TWRP installed without a PC
Have been waiting around for so long here to get this done. FINALLY this has happened along with Germany's superb win against Portugal

What I did:
All this can be done using the phone. First install the TR.apk http://towelroot.com and run the app.
Install a root checker app from market to verify.
install SU.
Install AutoRec and flash latest TWRP and get into recovery.
Back up your stock rom now before you flash anything else.
Please do donate to the developers of TR.apk

despite the epic release of towelroot- I'm still updating ioroot.

See the original post for download link.

This update cleans the scripts up a lot on all 3 platforms. since I'm on a mac the scripts get mac/linux see more attention but things should be good on windows too. Fixed the windows bat from being stupid and closing if a folder in the script path had a space in it.

the ioroot.zip in general is much smaller. In its zip form it clocks in at under 2MB.
the ioroot folder got cleaned up.. all the loose files are now behind the scenes (in the /ioroot/bts/ folder)

ioroot drops supersu. phone is still rooted.. you just won't have an app to manage which apps don't always get root.
if you want SuperSu.. grab Chainfire's latest zip @ download.chainfire.eu/supersu

the mac script is now a "tool" file and can be double clicked on to run instead of being launched manually thru command line.
the ioroot.sh file itself can now run on either linux or mac but it should be easier for mac users to run the .tool file.

ioroot for the moment is dropping its # in the name. from now on it's just "ioroot" and to get the latest ioroot you need to check the ioroot thread or ioroot link.

Well, it works on my LG G2 LS980 on 4.4.2. So TMO D801 4.4.2 users... G Flex 4.4.2 users... anyone else on 4.4.2 or less... you should now have root.

go to http://towelroot.com - install apk - run app - reboot - install supersu
be sure to thank geohot.

I saw this earlier. Since this a kernel exploit, do you still have to downgrade the bootstack in order to install a custom recovery?
