Trying to get google playstore on rooted android HCL ME Y2

(didn't try it to date on account of extended warranty issues)

My HCL ME Y2 did not come with google platstore instlled (it has ME marketplace instead)

I have successfully rooted my hcl me y2 (using the latest version of SRSRoot for Android) and

have checked with the Root Check app and i do have superuser pushed in as a result of the root

However adroid commander shows it as not rooted. (i was supposed to copy 2 apk files into

/system/app to get google playstore installed) I read that this may be because the adbd in the

stock image is secured.

Now that my device is rooted how can i accomplish copying these two files into /system/app?
I hear there is an app called adbd Insecure but i do not know how to install and use it for temp access into the stock kernel

How do I proceed from here?

Thanks for any help folks

Hi there!!

I found a thread about enabling Google Play. Hopefully it works for you!

Good luck!

The above has root info case root isn't working right.

Another alternative to get Google play working is a ROM I found where its built in....
