Hi guys,

curiously did not worked with build NB4 I've recently flashed.
after flash I got an OTA update to ND1 and towel rooted the device with knox 0x0.
previously on MJ6 towel worked fine also.
no issues with reflashes through odin and factory resets.
the reflash will lose root and factory reset keeps it. knox stays zero.
these are roms from brazil zto for who may know.

Thanks a lot.

Question no dice for docomo Galaxy Note (1), any way to log?
I've read this thread (and others) and tried towelroot several times on my Galaxy Note (1), Japanese docomo version SC-05D, but it doesn't work. Is there any way I can make a log of towelroot's operation, and would that be helpful in troubleshooting? Is there another way to root this phone without using an external PC?

Model number SC-05D (Galaxy Note (1), Japanese docomo version)
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version SCO5DOMMSI
Kernel version 3.0.31 - 1477846-user
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 26 17:38:32 KST 2013
Build number JZO54K.SC05DOMMSI

The SC-05D is an LTE version with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ80060 1.5GHz processor/chipset. I think it is most similar to the Korean version than anything else.

Update: I had already reset my phone and had not checked USB debugging. After enabling that, running towelroot now immediately gives the message, "This phone isn't currently supported."

In according to Alexndr post be aware that if you upgrade to XXUFN modem
and you will have bootloop you couldn’t flash XXUEND3 stock rom.
Only FNF4 stock rom!!!
Thats mean that You cant use towelroot again…
So better it’s stay with old modems.
Yesterday i upgrade to XXUFN modem….

Thanks to @_alexndr for this info

I followed the instructions above to a tee, when got to the part to downloaded SU it installed and asked to update the binary, clicked normal, worked fine and it asked to disable knox, I clicked okay and it came back saying success, then immediately gave me a error saying installation failed. I rebooted my phone and noticed the unlock custom symbol at the bottom, I re-installed SU and ran it again. this time it comes up with the SU binary update message again, I clicked continue and then normal again, then it instantly comes up with installation failed.

tried it 3 times and on the 4th i tried the clear cache option that was mentioned before a few pages back, still get the installation error.

is my phone ****ed? what the hell is wrong i did everything right I'm sure of it. If SU wont installed correctly then that means i wont be able to revert back to stock, correct? please help!

This may be a dumb question, but if I uninstall Towelroot, what happens? Does my phone's root go away?

Rooting phone with Tripped knox

I just checked my Note 3 (N9005) and it is already tripped KNOX, but it is not Rooted.

So can I root it now with towelroot ? having the knox already tripped?

For the first question, read the first post if your firmware is in the list.
For the second question, yes, knox now is tripped and now can not be reset.

All ROMs different than Samsung stock ROM (except based on stock) will change knox flag. Also changing recovery will change knox to.
You can use stock ROM or based on stock and stock recovery to don't tipping knox.
