Hey guys, sorry I know there is a bunch of work to be done on Commandr, but I'm on vacation until next week and internet is super spotty... When I get back expect some updates :)

Also didn't have time to answer all posts in this thread. Will do this when I have an actual keyboard

great job @RSenG2x . Any chance of seeing gps toggle on/off on Nexus 5?

Unfortunately android security prevents me from toggling GPS without root. There is a hack available for older devices, but the only solution for newer ones is to use Tasker and secure settings (root only)

Facing same issue with 2.1. Enabling and re-enabling in Accessibility doesn't change.

Unable to check "Note to self" in settings and it won't recognize I have keep installed. Flashlight command works, haven't tried others.
M8-Stock 4.4.2/Sense 6.

Note to self will always work, its more to just not confuse users... Didn't have time to fully fix this, but you'll notice that if you turn off the accessibility service it will work. Will patch in next update...

Hi,

With the 2.1 version, I tried a simple command "Wifi ON" on tapping the google mic, it opens the wifi settings rather than setting wifi on.
Also, offline is not working either.
Am I missing anything here?

Please make sure you are using the same command you have configured in Commandr settings. For offline commands you must type the command.

Just One for Step to My Thank to you, One question. Is it necessary to use Tasker while setting it up?

Nope.

Im really lost.
How do I create Tasker commands?
Could someone perhaps provide an example.

Cheers :D

Still not sure

See the second post.

I did but I'm not too sure how to create a command in tasker. I create a new task but I dont know what to do from there on. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do in the task screen with the IFs and so on.
Also, I went through the thread and saw you say that v2.1 would fix the "Tasker problem please reinstall commandr" but everytime I open the searchbar the message pops up and stays on for like 3 mins.

Translations

I want to help with the translations.

Is it correct that the "_phrases" strings are a comma separated list of voice commands to activate a certain function? I.e. if my language has more synonyms for the same command than the original "_phrases" value, I can add more to the string? Or does it have to be an exact translation with the exact same number of commas in it?

Flashlight is not turning on in Nexus 5.
The command is received and executed by the app but the led is not lighting up. 'Flashlight light ON' shows up in the notifications without the light actually turned ON.
Kindly fix this, it used to work well before you fixed the 'Note to self' command requirement.

Thanks for the great app.

Hi, I'm using tasker task, but very offten when I'm saying command, I've got only search result. I could say that is workin correctly maby 1 of 5 times. And also it take a very long time to execute command, somatimes i'm saying some tasker command, and it take about 20 to 30 sec to execute. Is it something on my side or with app, and is there any way to fix it?

- Due to a huge number of suggested commands, users can now add commands directly and moderation will happen retroactively. If you have submitted a command suggestion, but have not received a response, please add it again in-app.
- Listen to Google Play Playlist Command. Still working on making this actually play the music, but for now it will open the playlist. (This was the most voted command!)
- Multiple bug and crash fixes
- Added multiple translations (see the description)

These both should be fixed in 2.2. Let me know if they aren't...

Yep :) Thanks for helping to translate, I am amazed by how quickly they are being completed!

And is it correct that these "_phrases" should be given in all lower case? Or should it be the correct capitalization depending on the language? At least my apps that use speech recognition receive their recognized data in lowercase.

Hi,
I am having a strange issue when i try to use any of the commands related to music. Google Now gets stuck, it says "This action is not supported", and no longer accepts voice input until i hit back at which point the command gets executed correctly (next song, resume whatever), but this still means that i can't use these commands.
I have a Htc One M8 stock, locked. I'm thinking it may have something to do with htc's music app not being compatible with google now, i have google play installed of course. Can anyone give me some advice? I would really appreciate it since it would be awesome to control the music app handsfree. Thx

Quick update on progress on removing requirement of "note to self" for root uses...

This was implemented successfully using MohammadAG's Google Now API, but unfortunately it seems that this api has many bugs and has to be updated for the new version of Google Search. As soon as this is updated (he is on vacation right now), I will add this functionality :) For now, rolling back changes...
