These 3 files are taken from the Mediapad Honeycomb firmware. They are located in the etc/coulometer directory when you mount the system.img.ext. Replace the ones on the ICS firmware that you want to use.
Note that in the update.zip file, you will also find the file bq27510_pro.bqfs. I also replaced it with the one from the Honeycomb firmware.
If you want to download the complete Honeycomb firmware, go to this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1730765. The first one listed "S7-301u V100R001C284B011 Honeycomb Android 3.2 General Version" is still working.
The coulometer firmware upgrade happen when you flash the Honeycomb or ICS firmware. I'm not sure how to upgrade it any other way. So in the end, what I did was that I download my Mediapad back to Honeycomb, then upgrade back to ICS again using the modified firmware as mentioned above.
P.S. My Mediapad battery life is back to normal now. I can play games for a long time without the battery level dropping suddenly to critical level. Right now, I am trying to run the battery out, then I'm doing a full charge before doing a battery calibration. :victory:
Big thanks for this method.... my Mediapad looks to regained the initial 4-5 hours display time (continuous youtube and browsing mixed).
Now I will flash original latest ICS and replace the coulometer files, will make my settings and will see how it will work.
Thanks again.:good:
