Any updates? The rom looks awesome and everything is good except the lag. Today morning i switched of the alarm and it wasn't off i noticed the phone hanged and the only solution was removing the battery. Sometimes even while calling it gets struck at the answering screen(where we drag to choose whether to attend or cut the call).

Waiting for updated miui 6 patchrom (LINUX Miui building tool) to get released in january,2015 then i can start building the new rom

For the calling screen hang issue-
1.open phone (dialer app)
2.go into its settings
3.goto call settings
4. open answer gesture
5.change to vertical swipe

to avoid hanging issues , restart the phone at-least one time a day

Yep Hanging issues solved thanks a lot! Waiting for the updates! I just have one query is there any way you could change the theme store to the English one? I cant read Chinese! Can you do anything about the battery status style. I understand it is as in default miui but it really sucks. The one with the percentage of battery showing looks really bad and the other two i don't know how much of my battery is left.

Related to themes app -
1.go into settings
2.open the app uninstaller section
3.click on themes app
4.Clear data
5.Now try your themes app , it will be in english

Kindly read FAQ solutions are already mentioned there..:angel:

Sorry can't do anything about battery style.:rolleyes:

Finally MIUI 6 for A116

Hello Everyone
Its been a long time since i released final MIUI ROM for A116 based on MIUI V5.
I was also busy working on other project ( Optimus ROM ) but now i got some resources and the work is again started for MIUI 6.
Recently MIUI released a beta version of MIUI 6 for Redmi 1 which is a MT6589 based device , so the good news is that the ROM has been ported , it took a little time because of kernel issues and other on going projects of mine.

So i will release this rom till March 1st and its a beta version so you can accept a lot of bugs but it is usable.
In later March only the Patchrom will be released so you can expect more stable ROM's and faster updates in the future.
Till then enjoy this ROM.

Ok wikipedia follower , i'll give you some info which was not on wikipedia
the android version version 4.4.4 or lollipop which is mentioned there is according to xiaomi flagship devices.
Use some brain , we have a kernel which is based on kitkat 4.4.2 so our rom will using that version only.
So its actually same kitkat but minor .2 difference doesn't creates a huge difference. Main point is its 4.4:silly:

    Installation Instructions-​
    Warning Before Flashing :​


    1.IMPORTANT: FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. We are not responsible for any bricked phones or damages caused due to the ROM. You lose warranty when you root/flash ROMS on your phone.

    2.BATTERY: Keeping at 100% charged is recommended before flashing.

    3.BACKUP: Take BACKUP from recovery, useful in case you mess up. Or try Titanium to backup all data and apps.​

    Flashing Steps-​

    1.Download ROM and store on Internal or External SD

    2.Start TWRP/CWM Recovery Mode. (CWM Recommended)

    3.Take full backup in recovery mode.(In case of any problem)

    4.Wipe data or factory reset.

    5.Wipe cache partition.

    6.Wipe Dalvik Cache

    7.Format System

    8.Install ROM

    DON'T FLASH ANY KERNEL.​
