Thumbs up Hope for Ubuntu on S3
I am also waiting for a CWM zip to flash my S3 with Ubuntu touch.

Will this Ubuntu touch also the device convergence feature as stated in insights.ubuntu.com/2013/02/15/get-the-faqs-about-ubuntu-on-smartphones

What do you mean by ‘device convergence’?

With Ubuntu, the industry’s first fully converged device will be a high-end smartphone that can be docked to a monitor and keyboard to become a powerful desktop PC. This is made possible because we have a very deep level of integration between the services on the phone and the desktop – underneath, it is really the same OS. This is a real strength of Ubuntu.

to all the guys who have done development on this!!!

The convergence is to have Ubuntu touch on S3 not the Ubuntu dock convergence.

About the dock is not applied here.

Two different ways to see the system.

Hey,

first let me say 'thank you' for your work on this port.

Would it be okay for you to provide a simplified guide with the steps you took in order to get the ports working?
(e.g. phablet-bootstrap, download this, move it in there, thinks like that)

This could help people like me which are willing to help and port but need some support at first hand.

Thanks in advance,

Isotop94
