Ok maybe i wasn't loosing it LOL . 6.1 signal icons are skin-able in CDMA only not GSM does that fit for why yours aren't .. again if someone has more info please chime in

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=1325328&postcount=1585

Maybe it's at least partially skinnable? Since i have definitely seen and used different signal bars with a GSM Diamond.

Hey, love the theme. I'm having some trouble with the signal and task manager icons, however. Any known fixes? I've tried searching, but no help. Thanks, keep up the good work.

I'm pretty sure the signal bar is skinnable in 6.1.
e.g. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=554884

Nevertheless, great work Dark Ninja and longice

Yeah, it is skinnable, the thing is the icons im using, maybe there the problem with wm6.1.. Coz i also noticed the battery icons have smudges around, although in wm6.5 its completely cleaar.. So im thinking of redoing the skin to a proper wm6.1 dll it shiuld fix the problem.. also sometimes its the way the rom is cooked wether some of the icons show up or dont.. Like i said il skin a wm6.1 dll and check it out.. Would you mind testing?

Sry my bad as i said it's been a while

Thanks for pointing people in the right direction :) appreciated.

I found a screenshot for you:

as dandnj was saying the numbers would be too small i think.. il give a crach at taking small digits and applying them to the qvga taskbar (above not inside) like the one dandnj made at first. Although no promises im not too sure itl be as perfect as WVGA.

i was actually looking for the taskmanager icon to make it black.. Il take a look into it.. but the signal as i said above il look into it.. I have no idea why that is coz your sing wm6.5.. Is it stock rom? What rom u using? and build?

Is the signal bar not skinned for everyone on wm6.1? If its working fo someone, Please say ! :)

I just finished a QVGA set and asked Emrulez to give it a test. I will let you know how it goes.

Yeah, sorry about that. I haven't updated the sig yet. I am back to the OEM AT&T 6.5 ROM. I would give you the build #, but right now I'm having to tether it for my internet connection :D. I live waaay out in the Middle of nowhere, and they.... sadly.... haven't ran high-speed internet out here. I can hit you with the build # tomorrow if you still need it. BTW, awesome theme man, seriously I love it. (Wish you would port it to the TouchFLO 3D interface, though :))

Hey DN,

no skinning on signal bar icons here. They're plain white, same as with the task manager icon. In the dlls that contains the usual icons there are no icons that control the signal bars, so I can't understand what to do to skin them :p

Regarding those smudges around the icons: Use png format as I suggested and make the background transparent and you'll avoid those problems ;) Let me know if I can help you with that, as I got some time today and tomorrow. I think I have already done your Desire taskbar battery icons in png, or at least some that are pretty close. I can send them over if ya like, just gimme a notice...

BTW in most of the lasts posts, those links are showing taskbars where the icon behind the signal bars are skinned, and not the signal bars themselves. There are no problems having a background for the signal bar icons to make them visible on a white background. The problem is how to change the colour on the bars themselves. Cause I can't find the right ico files in the dlls...

Alright guys, I've gone over the battery icons and removed the smudge. It looks really good now :) There were some almost transparent pixels on the images that were nearly impossible to see. Thanks to photoshop's magic wand I found them!

Attached is the shellres.192.dll. Consider this update 2.5 :p As usual, rename phcanOverbmp.dll in the windows folder to phcanOverbmp.bak, extract the one attached, copy it to the windows folder, soft reset and enjoy. Or wait for the cab if this sounds scary.

THIS IS FOR WM 6.1 ONLY. It might mess up your taskbar if you apply this on 6.5 or 6.5.x!

DN, I also attached a zip containing both the fixed icons and the fixed pngs, so you won't have to pull 'em out of the dlls ;)

I think thats the problem, i think it needs to be a cooked rom, did you install sdkcerts?

Hehe okay I will.. The smudges should all be gone, I hope I didn't miss anything...!

If anyone using the new phcanOverbmp.dll discovers some errors, please make a note of exactly what percentage your battery is at (e.g. 96% or 17%) and post it here so that I can check it.

Hey longice and DN, take a look at Post 3, it has the .ico files of the signal bars. I know nothing though, so I'm not sure if it's do-able. Thanks for your hard work!

    Android Taskbar

    Android Taskbar

thanks to longice.. There is only one version atm which is the original taskbar, with a waitcursor to support wm6.1.. Let me know if it works well so that i can add more versions :D

Added New QVGA (also Here fo no battery) and New WM6.1 version, unfortunately aas far as i know its not possible to skin the signal bars, so theyre going to have ot be white for now, sorry. in Post 3 (thanks to dandnj71 and longice for all there work)

For Another WM6.1 version and extra's check Here Thanks to Physx

Remember the Volume icon for most devices will not be skinned! You have to download the zip attached which contains the Volume icon DLL, you will need to use the version you are using (19XX or 20XX) your Volume control and volume icon should be perfect after this.

    internal_percent.bmp
    dark_Percent.bmp
For These versions of the battery go here, BIG thanks to dandnj71 to all of his work

added a zip file which contains all the taskbar cabs for people expriencing problems with taskbar
images etc and battery icon problems (i think)..

For Original Waitcursors look In Post 3

QVGA testing only for now, although im sure it should work, just bare with me.. Only one version at the moment :D

If you are still experiencing a Volume Icon bug after installing the correct version Look at Post 3

Before installing anything remember to install SDKCERTS.cab from Here Without this the taskbar may not work!

All the taskbars have the CDMA Fix inside so no probz for CDMA users. I also added A battery percentage version BIG thanks to dandnj71

Finally, after a lot of looking into, fixed all known issues for all devices.. Now V4/V5 works for all.. If you guys have any suggestions please post a reply, as your ideas only make the taskbar better :)

    Wait Cursor :D:

Taskbar Underlay Colors are added if you want black/white taskbar underlay. Download Taskbar Colors.zip and excute cab inside.

    Instructions For A Perfect Installation

    1) Install SDKCerts.cab
    2) Find out if you are using Wm6.5 or WM6.5.x.. To know this just simply look if your start menu button is placed at the top or bottom.
    Top=WM6.5 (stock roms)
    Bottom=WM6.5.X
    3) Choose one of the folowing taskbars that are attached to this post (or extras) which say the version of you choice and the wm6.5 build you are using
    4) Run the cab on your Device
    5) Software Reset
(If Volume icon missing (most likely))
    6) Find out if what version of htc volume control you are using
    7) Download "Dark Ninja Volume Fix 19XX-20XX"
    8) Run the cab of the version you are using 19XX or 20XX
    9) Software Reset

    -Your done-

For WM6.5.X Android Taskbar W/VGA With no battery percentage install "Dark Ninja Android Taskbar WM6.5.X V6.cab"
For WM6.5.X Android Taskbar W/VGA With Battery percentage install "Dark Ninja Android Taskbar WM6.5.X V6 + % BATTERY.cab"
For Wm6.5 Android Taskbar W/VGA Without Battery percentage install "Dark Ninja Android Taskbar WM6.5 V6.cab"
For Wm6.5 Android Taskbar W/VGA With battery percentage install "Dark Ninja Android Taskbar WM6.5 V5+ % BATTERY.cab"
For Both WM6.5 & WM6.5.X Taskbar Background Colours "Taskbar Colors.zip"

This taskbar replaces the original WM6.5 Taskbar with the one below. Please remember to backup before installingn as i do not want to be responsible for messing up your taskbar.

The above picture is just a tease, every single icon in the tasbar has been skinned.

    Still To Come
Making progres on qvga! Hopefully very soon will be the release :)
    2
Temporary Second Post Soon to Be Filled ;)

    Extras

-Original Wait Cursor Dlls are in this post attached

-Also if you are getting a black square on the volume icons try the cab attached..

-If you are getting htc volume control problems, and causing the hardware buttons to do folly things you can try a few of these suggestions..try doing this:

First, remember to find out which version of volume control you are using and with them install the fix's in the previous post. If that doesnt work..

    1) Try going to windows directory in total commander
    2) (uninstall 19XX or 20XX volume fix)
    3) Install This
    3) Software reset.

This method i would say is the best way as it doesnt effect your VolumeControl dll.. It will defo work
