hi. I'm new to this. I have a galaxy grand neo plus gt-I9060I model.
android version 4.4.4.
KTU84P_ build number I9060IXXU0ANL6
BAND VERSION I9060IXX U0ANL5
Could you root this phone with this method? Is it compatible?
I ask because I'm not sure if the model Galaxy Grand Neo Plus GT-I9060i / DS is the same as mine.
thanks

DS = Dual Sim❔❔ because my smartphone itself is dual sim.
Thanks

    The accelerometer doesn't work anymore.

Sent from my GT-I9060I using XDA Free mobile app

    Hello!

After reading a lot in the corresponding threads on XDA I succesfully rooted a Galaxy Grand Neo Plus GT-I9060i (single SIM) (Android 4.4.4 - Kitkat).

Here is my short summary, how to do:

    Requirements:
*) Your mobile phone with a fully loaded battery!
*) USB-driver for your phone (install Samsung Kies3, it installes the necessary driver)
    *) A computer with Windows
*) USB-cable to connect your phone with your computer
*) Software "Odin" (I used Odin version 3.09)

    How to:
    1) Unlock "developer option" on your mobile phone
    2) Enable USB-debugging mode in "Settings >Developer option" > check on USB debugging
    3) Turn off the phone
    4) Go to "Download mode" by pressing and holding (Volume Down + home key + power key) on your phone
    5) When you see the "Warning screen" press Volume Up to continue
    6) Start Odin3 on your computer and connect the phone via USB-cable
    7) Leave everything (every option) unchanged! Click on "AP" in area "Files (Download)" an choose "boot.tar.md5" from first post in this thread
    8) Click "Start" and wait till Odin finishes its work, then the phone will reboot automatically
    9) Disconnect you phone from USB-cable
    10) Install Kingo ROOT(from first post in this thread) on your computer
    11) Start Kingo ROOT, then connect your phone to USB-cable. Now Kingo ROOT should detect your phone.
    12) Click "Root Again" and wait till finish
    13) Reboot your phone
    14) Disable USB-debugging mode in "Settings >Developer option" > check off USB debugging

If your sensors (especially rotation (tilt) sensor) don't work like expected, do the following:
Step 1) to 6) from above
    7) Download bootloader from this location i9060i fix sensor by Hosam Kashto
    8) Compress the file "boot.img" in directory "fix sensor" to "tar"-format with a file archiver like "7-Zip" and rename it to "boot.tar"
    9) Leave everything (every option) in Odin unchanged! Click on "AP" in area "Files (Download)" an choose your created "boot.tar"
    10) Click "Start" and wait till Odin finishes its work, then the phone will reboot automatically
    11) Disconnect you phone from USB-cable
    12) Disable USB-debugging mode in "Settings >Developer option" > check off USB debugging

    Now sensors should work again.

The only remaining "problem" for me is, that it is not possible to replace Kingo ROOT's superuser app with SuperSU from Google PlayStore.

    Dont Use KingoRoot,,it installs adware

There's a custom recovery for this phone, flash it via odin, then install supersu.
