Ver 4.5 causes both my tablets to run 100%

First, let me say that Lucid is my "go to" browser. I like its light weight.

Now, I've got two tablets, a Samsung Tab 2 with a tweaked stock ROM and an AGNi kernel. The other is a Nook HD+ with an f2fs version of LiquidSmooth ROM with a custom kernel. (Both with dual core processors.) I had been running Lucid v 4.4 on both without problems. Then I upgraded to v4.5 (the Lollipop version) just because.

Both tablets got very hot when running v4.5, and I found that they got hot because their SoC's were running both cores at 100%. (Both tablets use the hotplug governor. )

I dropped back to v4.4 and both tablets run cool again.

Installed it, loved the minimalism on the design and it's pretty fast, I think it would be really good if you could put a text-wrap engine, or maybe some way to always increase the font-size of all pages so we don't have to zoom and scroll vertically in websites that are not optimized for mobile. But congratulations!

Hi @powerpoint45,

Just noticed mention in twitter mobile website does not work (like in Lightning Browser). It does work in Chrome. Haven't tried with Cyabogenmod Browser yet.

@powerpoint45 nevermind mention works!
Do you plan to update your browser? Like adding incognito browsing for instance? Also an "Open in background" feature could be good.
Or is it a final stage and project is closed?

No it is not in it's final stage. I've just been so busy working on Lucid Launcher that I have not worked on this. But I think now I've finally got to a point where I can start working on this project again.

Would it be possible to add an ad-blocker like uc browser has and the option to sort bookmarks in alphabetical order?

Hi! Thank you for your support! Unfortunately we currently don't have a way to import bookmarks. This is a feature I need to add still.

So this is basically nothing more than a shell for the Android System Webview (actually Chrome itself in Android N+)? I have a hard time believing this could bring many real-world performance improvements over Chrome, which itself is already a rather light-weight shell. The vast majority of the memory usage is coming from the Webview. Have you done any actual performance measurements? Aside from syncing, what other features does this lack that could give any noticeable improvement?

The most important feature in any browser (aside from it being open source) is the ability to install standard extensions like uBlock, so I'll definitely be sticking with Firefox for now.
