How come you so sure?

It may be giving you that due to your UAC security on your PC and may need to be disabled depending on your Windows version... I'm using Vista Business. I was getting the same issue even though I was right clicking and installing by "Run as Administrator" it was not installing correctly. You'll have to go into your Control Panel>User Accounts> and find "Turn User Account Control on or off" and then uncheck the box that says, " Use User Account Control (UAC) to protect your computer". After I did that, I went back and right clicked and installed by "Run as Administrator" and everything went fine. :good:

Thanks for reading, Please Respond .. anyone out there who can help me , all comments and solutions are appreciated ..
Thanks .. Got everything working .. @Snoop05 You ROCK !! ✔ .. Keep up the great work ✔Just install the new one, no need to uninstall older. Why would anybody need to uninstall this? And if you need to do so, just delete folder with adb files (1st post), remove that from PATH, and uninstall drivers from control panel.

Of course.
Stupid antivirus softwares assume each .exe file to be a virus.
Best disable antivirus during the install.
It would be nice for the dev to step up... I'll install clam av later and check with that...Thats not good advice, I have seen 4 different av software report this file as infected, yet we're told to disable, not smart.
I've installed at least 5 different kit varieties of adb/fastboot, NONE of them set off an alert.
Maybe the dev can explain why?? and it's not because it's an .exe file, that's an uninformed statement.

From my LG-G4, Rooted running Stock 5.1

Why don't use platform tools itself? As you say, it's actual and the installation is as easy as for every adb/fastboot tool.
BRAIN, 7-Zip, Notepad++, WDK, ResourceHacker, UPX, Android SDK, and maybe something else
Nice! Thank you. Will give this a shot. My adb/fastboot quit working when I moved and I cannot get it uninstalled or reinstalled for some reason. Have even tried other one click packages and still no go. Will try tonight. Does this need internet connection to install proper drivers, or are they packaged?
Edit: I just looked at the driver pics and it appears they're local. Great! Thank you.
