Do we need to lock the app in memory? MIUI often closes background processes when it shouldn't (e.g. third party alarm apps).

You can uninstall Automate.
You don't have to lock this into memory, it doesn't need to run always. Just once to set the values.
If you don't get an error message, then everything should be fine. I'll implement some double-checks later.
If you set touchboost to 806MHz, and first it goes to 1183MHz for a few seconds, then the touch you did on the app resulted in some code running the made the freq ramp up.

Anyway there was a bug with TB frequency setting, 1.3 will fix it, it will available in the store soon.

I've only tested it on MIUI, but it should work on CM too, if you enable root for it.

And no, you don't need to do anything after an update. You only need to change touchboost values after ROM update.

Ok, there is no touchboost on cm ROMs, that causes the crash. The fix is already uploaded to store, you just have to wait until it will be available to you. (1.6)

You have prime version I guess. The frequencies a bit different there.
You can install CPU-Z as it has been said before, it may go up to 1183 first, but if you keep your finger on the screen, and it goes back to 806, then it's good.

Can you add feature to control governor value??
As it wouldn't help most of the users, I guess it has to wait. Making the GUI for like 10-15 values, and managing saving-loading of all of them is pretty time consuming.
I will however make a switch between strict and loose values, where strict is what is used now, and loose will ramp up on lower load for games, etc.

If we uninstall the app whats going on? When we reboot, the phone will be with the original values or we need to reflash?

    What is this?
This is an app, written by me that configures the CPU governor and some other things to save a lot of battery, while have the system as fluid as possible. (Less lag and better battery than factory settings)
I also made some configurations available for the user.
    How to get it?
    1. You can install the app from Play Store - Redmi Note 2 Tool
    2. Start it, and give it root permissions. Without root permissions the app will refuse to do anything!
    3. You can use the values given by me, or change them. Either way you need to tick "Set On Boot" in the menu, and press "Save&Apply".
    4. You need to enable Autostart for the app in MIUI security center.

Battery stats are in the next post.
    12
    Latest standard version.
11.5H without charging, WI-FI always connected, 6H screen-on, 1.5H gaming, the rest is FB, 9GAG, Messenger and browsing.

I have to say that the Android battery stats are also very inaccurate, the most battery was used by Jurassic World and Angry Birds (each about 15-25%).
Also remember, this is the standard version, No Touchboost has even bettery battery life!

OK, here is a beta version. You can stop the flows in Automate, install this app, tick set on boot in menu, press Save, and enable the Autostart (and Root) in MIUI security, and you are good to go.

If there won't be issues, I will upload it to Play soon.
