then nothing happens when you plug in the phone:

USB Debugging has to be ON in "Settings" -> "Developer options".

(To enable Developer options: "Settings" -> "About device", then tap 7 times on "Build number". This adds "Developer Options" in the settings list, right above "About Device".)

I did everything as I have a S4 i9500 and left me at the start of samsung I should do?

Thanks, I successfully deodexed my lenovo a606 s040_row stock rom using this method. i have noob question,does deodexed rom consume more battery than odexed rom?

Succarefully deodexed and reinstalled using a SM-T560 Tab E running rooted 4.4.4 kitkat stock

Now oddly enough the "Select Runtime" option is now available in the developers menu. I just can't make the bastard stick, it always reverts back to Dalvik.

Even though I have a and a in their correct positions in the FS

They may be incompatible though as they are from a different tablet
