Question Modding question
Tools works fine, I think.. extraction throws no errors and all the files and folders are there as well.
The problem is that I can't find init-logo.rle anywhere in rmdisk folder (where ramdsik.gz is supposed to be extracted, am I right?) or anywhere else.
What am I doing wrong? I just wanna change my splash screen

Edit: found out that the problem is not tool-related, so... Does anyone know where init-logo can be when it is not found in boot.img?

Yoooo, is this thread TOTALLY dead or can i get some help perhaps.

Facing problems during packing recovery.img , i thought maybe i was doing something wrong , but then i unpacked the recovery.img and repacked it without touching it , but it still gave me an error and 2 files ( new_ram_header and another) appeared in the folder, i tried with all the versions of the tool, but still no success........

How do i pack an unpacked recovery folder into IMG via CIK..???
And in CIK when unpacking a recovery, it shows many other files outside the ramdisk folder which confuses me, those files dont show up when unpacked by this tool.

BTW im trying to port a recovery for MT6592 , i just started these things, i have knowledge though but facing problems, could u help me out by telling what i should do to get a custom recovery for my MT6592.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: i should tell u my phone specs, and the things i did to get so far
QMobile Noir S9
MT6592 SoC
720x1280 Display
Android 5.1
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PC: Running windows 7 32bit
drivers installed, and tools ready
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW I GOT THE RECOVERIES FOR PORTING
For Stock recovery, first i tried extracting it via tools like MTK Droid Tool, but they do not support Lollipop, so i download a full Flash File Software and got the recovery.img, i hope that didnt screw things up, is it important to get recovery.img via a ReadBack or backup, or that works too????

For Port recovery i am using a similar recovery (TWRP) from MicroMax Canvas Nitro

Tools like CTR auto porting, TWRP/CWM/Philz magic installer either dont work or dont support Lollipops, so im sort of out of options....

I uploaded them to Google Drive for u check HERE, if u could perhaps take a look....

Maybe if u have time , kindly see if u can port the recovery, bcz i am really damned right now, i've been downloading so many things and my laptop is starting to lag....
And tell me if i've done anything wrong.....

huh thats too much i guess......sorry for all this but i really need a Recovery

Thanks
