Have you tried flashing Superuser 3.2? It is in the Root kit in the Original Development forum. Try uninstalling Super SU, flash in Superuser 3.2 in recovery, then try the method above.

Can't uninstall - only option is to DISABLE. I assume this will be good enough?
Should be. Won't hurt to try. There is a way to fully uninstall SuperSU, but I don't have it now. Search on XDA, should be there.
has anyone got this to work, i haven't seen any confirmations here.
Just finished - it didn't work. Same response FAILED (........)
Installed Superuser (and it removed SuperSU in the process). Followed the steps again.....ugh.
Sorry, it seemed to be a factor...Have you tried this method? Credit goes to @dbman190 in the other thread:
I applied the OTA over stock rooted just fine. I use Koush's superuser and TWRP.
My procedure:
1. Flash HTC recovery image via fastboot: (http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=2236418)
2. Install OTA through software update
3. Reflash TWRP through fastboot
4. Reflash Koush's superuser app
Worked fine. After step 2, my phone gave me the message that my phone was updated. Software version shows updated too in settings.
Seems to work. But not with Super SU.
Yeah I'm going to give this a try now that I have superuser....I'll keep u posted.
ok i'm trying it with supersu, we'll see if it works
OK WORKED for me update installed, now to reflash recovery
recovery installed ok. supersu installed good to go
wifi not working because it didn't update my kernel, updated everything else

Didn't work for me
I flashed stock recovery
went to install OTA and it failed.
I noticed when the phone reboots after clicking "Install now" for the OTA, the white HTC One screen comes up, and I get the red text at the bottom "This build is for developmental purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC....."
I would get that w/ TWRP.......I shouldn't be getting it w/ stock recovery though? Maybe there's the issue?
You get that text because you unlocked the bootloader via HTC Dev

Changelog for 1.29.651.10
- BlinkFeed improvements
- New Sprint Zone client
- Improved Back and Home key sensitivity
Is this safe for root or is this just a manuel upload instead of waiting for the OTA?
Should we flash the firmware or is it
Ok to just wait for a rooted Rom to be made with the new firmware and just flash that. I guess my question is are we going to be missing any key components by not taking it directly from HTC like newer radios
