need to tether 4.2.6
I know, just plug it in and it works. Not for me. 1. plug in via usb 2. settings/ wireless settings/ internet tether (on). Go to PC see G1Tether in wireless connections and click connect. (its an unsecured comp to comp network) funny thing is I can unplug it refresh network and it's still there. So I must be doing something wrong. help?

Anyone know if this will work on other devices? I have a Vogue (XV6900 CDMA). I'm got it running Android thanks to WinMoRootFs on my nand. I installed everything as said on this. I can telnet to the localhost 1080 when I forward through ADB and start the sock proxy on the phone. However Firefox refuses to do return anything, simply tells me the connection was refused. Seems like I'm close, but I don't know what the next step is. FoxyProxy is setup exactly as listed in the first post.

Sorry for intruding...

I think I got it working... no idea why it started working... interesting...

The useful advice
l3wish, I had the same problem: I did tried all I could, but ADB did not detected my device. I many times restarted adb-server, rechecking USB-debugging and tried some drivers (and Google drivers too) — nothing useful. Your advice to download the newly version of ADB has solved this trouble and the fresh ADB is detecting the device, but my Firefox (v. 43) cannot connect to Internet and your next advice for the FoxyProxy plugin has solved this trouble too. Now all has worked fine.
I live in the russian country and have only 3G Internet, so you much helped me. I very appreciate it, thank you very much! Very, very much!
