I got a problem with SuperSU after flashing any kernel. I tried TGPKernel and same result.

I flash the kernel then flash 2.79 SuperSU straight after. Root access is working for apps that were previously allowed but any new apps and the root prompt doesn't show.

Like before flashing kernel AdAway had root access. After flash it still has access, but any app that didn't have access before can't request since the request doesn't show.

Running Renovate Edge r130, but it's the same result on Helios 7.9.0 and ambasadii 11.0.
Upload your boot.img patched by SuperSU and I'll take a quick look

Try wiping data and cache for supersu..that might work.

I uninstalled the app (that clears cache and data right?) and reinstalled it and came to the same result. I don't think it's an issue with the app but with root access itself. Not sure.

Reason I suggested that method was I experience the same issue before.. clearing cache and data for supersu fix the problem for me.

Hm, maybe a stupid question... But after flashing 2.3 i cant access my S7 via MTP/USB. The Device Manager shows that my S7 is connected, but the S7 is not listed on "My Computer". Did i miss something?

Edit, i'm on Renovate Edge r130 and came from stock Renovate Kernel.

That's due to renovate using different ramdisk values which only works on renovate kernel, as mwilky said will be changed soon in his rom so it works with all kernels

Check the option in aroma to use a different kernel.

Or wait till tonight and this will be reverted as it's no longer needed

He knows the answer to my question. It was my bad, i should have read the Aroma Description while installing Renovate. The "Bug" was not SuperStock related. Ignore our Posts ;) And .... thx mwilky

I am having a strange contrast problem with my screen after using 2.4.2 especially when reducing the brightness to low levels
I rolled back to 2.3 and now everything is fine
Anyone else ?

Benchmarking kernels ended as of July 3rd, 2017

    Kernel benchmark environment:
Battery and CPU about 27°C, battery charge level ~76%, not plugged in, stock kernel settings, closed all fore- & background apps before benchmarking. I'm on SuperMan-ROM v2.5.0.
Three benchmark-runs with each kernel, cooldown phase between runs and calculated the average score. Conclusion is at the very bottom of this post.

    My personal experience:
TGP kernel is very fast and smooth - almost no lags.
Most battery friendly kernel is SuperStock kernel.
Thermal throttling is kicking in very early, so if your environment/CPU/battery/GPU is hotter than 30°C you won't get high benchmark scores.
If you want to overclock your phone use Apollo, Outsider or SuperKernel. (unfortunately my ASV levels are too low to overclock, big:7, little:6)
How to find out the ASV levels of your phone? Use a root browser and open this file: /sys/kernel/debug/asv_summary or you can check it with Synapse.

I'll keep this post up to date with every new kernel (update).
