Usually even when you shut down the phone the Playstore restoring continues after boot, would be surprised if a short disconnect would abort it...
By the way, with root privileges you can trigger the restoration of your applications with a terminal emulator by:
Su
Bmgr list sets
(now choose one, on top is the newest)
Bmgr restore (type alphanumeric code)

Restoration from Playstore starts a second later :)

The issue i face in case of restoring is the restoring shows in progress but none of apps gets installed. I get the homescreen shortcuts in place, but apps don't install. The playstore restoration progress just goes on for ages. Anyway, i know its not a showstopper so it is ok and it might be an issue limited to me :p

About your second point. Thanks for the information. Could you please direct me some forums / links about this? I am not sure how to go about the mentioned method. Being a noob, i think i will read about it first and then try it. After a quick search, most of the links are returning old threads (from 2012 or some samsung mobile related pages). I was aware about titanium back-up, but haven't tested that either. So this time around i might try one of these options to restore. Thanks again for your help

Edit: I am not sure if the restoration issue is due to certification status of playstore. Its uncertified in my case.

It's basically just punching the lines in a terminal emulator (get one from Store or activate it in developer options pretty much on top) and hitting enter :) "su" means calling root privileges and "bmgr" is the shortage of "backup manager", a built-in Google tool to manage the account backups, if write only:
SU
BMGR
You'll get an output of all possible commands, explanations and all you need to know...

Ya, i downloaded the app (Terminal Emulator for Android by jack Palevich) and checked su, bmgr, bmgr list sets commands. I haven't checked the restore command. Will check it on next clean flash :)

So these are the steps i need to follow after clean flash:
1. Do not select restore back-up option, so the mobile will be set up afresh
2. Change the network to 3G instead of LTE
3. Install terminal emulator app from playstore
4. Follow above mentioned instruction

Btw, this terminal emulator feels so cool. Seeing a small terminal window on mobile and making it do stuff with just one line of text is awesome :D Thanks for your patient assistance... cheers

Exactly and you can restore at any time...

Edit: advantage with the app you downloaded is that it's one of the few (only one?) that allows copy and paste of command lines :)

BoardConfig: flash rom faster
camera: Fixed green lines on thumbnails issue (thanks to XOS devs)
Opening new update link directly when clicked on notification (Didn't test, let me know if not working)
Fixed - LED short blink during charge
Option to change Data Sim via Cellular tile (Fixed and now statubar is hiding properly too)
SystemUI: force a clock update if the screen is turned back on
Hide sensitive information while locked by default

I think I included all requested features except couple of them. One was MAC address randomization which isn't possible for our Qualcomm devices, may be if someone finds a way then. If you think your request isn't in the changelog, remind me again and I'll try to put in next update.

Disable all overlays in substratum to and flash again, for some reason this happens across all roms, maybe it's the theme itself... Anyways give it a shot :)

Clean flashed the rom with

1. ROM + Bean gapps
&
2. ROM + Open Gapps

But unable to login to my Google account
In both occasions it says Google play services stopped on continuous basis as soon as I open play store to login
(Can't get logs now... Will try to get it tomorrow)
Anyone else facing this ..?

    Next release will probably be my last update for Nougat unless I need to handle any bug reports etc or find something interesting that I have to add or there is an update in RR nougat sources. Will wait for RR sources to upgrade to O then we will see how it'll all pan out.
