I added another to previous post with head set and phone turned up. I hope it works because I need it to for the phone while talking ( without head set)
It has been a while since I flashed my Note 3. I have the note 4 now so I am trying to get this note 3 ready for my nephew. Right now I have a custom KK rom installed in the stock slot. Is it okay to flash this rom to the stock slot after doing a factory wipe and then wiping system, data and the caches?
I seem to be having an issue with obtaining root in order to install your ROM. I have a warranty exchange refurbished phone from AT&T that was already preloaded with NC2. I'm using the towel root file that you linked as well as the towel root file from the towel root site as well and root is not being granted. At least it doesn't appear to be anyway.. (there's no SuperUser app after running the TowelRoot application). I flashed the NC2 kernel that you referenced and that didn't help either.
I enabled the dev options and enabled USB debugging, allowed for sideloading (unknown sources in security) and I made sure that the phone has wi-fi access (I figured that towel root may need to download the super user apk itself..)
Do you have any suggestions for getting root? I'm asking here because I've ran this ROM before on my other Note 3 (the one that I have to send back) and I like it a lot. However that phone was on jellybean and I followed instructions on how to upgrade to a pre-release version of kitkat to keep the JB bootloader that was rooted. I then used safestrap to flash this ROM..
Thanks and keep up the good work

yes tr.apk does not install root SuperSu fully it just get you root without the superuser promt
you need to install SuperSU to get your SuperUser app first try the playstore (if you do not have custom recovery)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu
Installing Manually
You will have to follow the steps to get Safestrap installed because you need safestrap recovery to innstall app
http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip
Thanks for the clarification (It worked by the way and I'm loading busybox now as I type this)
Now - can I'm assuming that since this phone came with NC pre loaded that I can just proceed to booting into the Safestrap recovery and installing the ROM or do I need to ODIN the AP, BL, etc. files as well?
I think I'm going to share something that can help many like me who want to use the Hotspot from their N900A and can't if they are not using a AT&T service. Maybe this was already shared, I don't know.
After trying many options on the web, I installed the Xposed Framework so I could install Wanam Xposed and use the option on it, "Disable tether provisioning", it didn't work when I tried to turn on the HotSpot, but I still left the option checked on Wanam Xposed. Then I opened Xposed Installer and went to the Modules option and search for Hotspot (searching for some luck) and found this module "Moto Tether" which says that can enable WiFi Hotspot on a few phones and among them is the Galaxy Note 3, so I decided to download it and install it. After testing it for a few minutes, turning the phone off and on to make sure it works fine, I can say I can FINALLY use the Tether option on my N900A.
Update: I uninstalled the Wanam Xposed and the Tether Option still works. So this would mean that it is not necessary to install it in order to use the "Disable tether Provisioning".
1.- Install Xposed Framework app from this link: http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=2483258
2.- Inside Xposed Installer app, go to Download, search for "X Tether", install it.
3.- Enable X Tether (Moto Tether is displayed) on the "Modules" option inside the Xposed Installer app.
4.- Reboot and you are all set.
*Note: I have the Note3 N900A running NC2, Towel Root, SuperSU and Busy box.
I hope this will help others, as I said, it works for me so far.
I want to thank Mr. @carl1961 for his advice along this road.

Followed restore using [AT&T][NC2_Bootloader][N900A MGL KITKAT][Stuck Download-Mode FIX] to a T!!!
I flashed NC2 modem via recovery from Walter White, got footer errors...
Flashed via odin, still on KOT49H.N900AUCUCMLG.
All I need is this to say NC2 to return to Best Buy and have them flash the OTA over, to be able to get official NC2, correct???
The question is...why would I be getting this footer error when flashing the modem???
