There's this storage issue. Says /sdcard not found(Gallery). Cannot download files through Chrome since there's "no sdcard". Esfile explorer says "no /sdcard".Have tried a lot of ROMs for a7000, Nougats have this problem. Is there a solution? Cannot save pictures from Facebook or Messenger either.

Yes there is a workaround. Use the search button on RR n thread and search for the work "Lspeed". Read the post by me there.
Oh thanks a lot bro!
By the way i am really trying to do something but dont know how to do it!
I have been on my pc and learnt about it a lot but still didnt do it!
I would like to learn how to make use of the CD-ROM which pops up when we connect our phone to a windows pc.
Like is it possible to put our stuff in that CD-DRIVE?
Please help me solve this riddle bro. And thanks a lot! This ROM is the first place where i have started my android learning journey!:D

Lol that cd isn't exactly a real hardware cd right? It is just some part of storage mounted for some specific size and files for installing some software. So according to me you should not be able to put something on that drive thing.

And for the learning part, I still remember how I started learning all this on XDA from HDHR. This happened in December 2016 and I started off by making an aicp 11 build (which already existed) and I also managed to fix the Bluetooth and headset somehow. But that ROM is not public and never will be.
Then for the start, I ported swift AOSP . Then came ghost. Then one day, came the point of time where all this ROM compiling stuff started. It was the day I posted lineage os 14.1.

Good luck with your journey tho

Oh! I thought that the virtual drive of android could be reprogrammed like before when the phone was running on the stock rom there was a virtual CD Drive through that we could install some apps but now it is not usable so i thought maybe we could reprogram it.

Damn bro you are a beast! Keep up the good work! You guys are super geniuses!:angel:

Sry i cant understand what u mean
Well you have VERY CLEARLY NOT READ THE XDA THREAD RULES AND TERMS.

OP means "original poster" and you can see an "OP" tag on Rohan Taneja's posts on this thread.

Sometimes op might refer to "original post".
Do you forget that Google exists even when you ask something on XDA?
If you searched "what is op on xda" on Google then I'm sure you wouldn't have wasted your post and I wouldn't have had to waste mine.

And I had meant to say earlier, that we devs (at least me, @Rohan Taneja, @aswinp222, @HDHR, @Aryan Kedare) all are students. We're moving to colleges in a few years. And me just next year.
Whatever we make on XDA is purely out of hobby and passion and we get nothing out of it, since most users want the stuff for free and don't even care about giving something to the dev in return (I'm talking about donations). Instead of some kind of help, we face criticism about stuff that is broken or buggy. I'm pretty sure even you gave nothing to us in return of our attempt to compile n Roms from source.

Rohan bro is already in college doing engineering studies. And he will be busy... Quite busy. And we can't (and probably won't) do things like development unless we got plenty of time for :
1) Compiling
2) Testing
3) Debugging
4) Fixing
5) Repeating.

// Now hit the thanks button. This post deserves thanks.

Hey guys i have found out the issue behind the youtube 720p60 video lag. So the issue was not from any decoder or anything the issue was the clock rate which the rom was set to provide! Now i am only talking for the device lenovo a7000-a which has 1500 mhz octa core. Now the issue was even though the device could provide 1500 mhz the rom was set to 1170 mhz so when you try to play a 720p video at 60 fps the cpu needs the extra power to run it. Since it was missing the 400 mhz it would start skipping frames as we would describe it "lag".
Now i know you guys might be thinking that increasing the clock would mean bad for the device but technically we are not even overclocking we are just setting the device to 1495 mhz since the device is capable of delivering 1500 mhz!
Setting the device to 1495 mhz solved the video lag for me!
Thanks to all the devs for bringing us this awesome rom i have been learning more and more since i have got into this!
Cheers! ?

Thanks a lot for figuring it out.
It's due to default spectrum profile which is executed on boot. :)
Checkout the GitHub Commit: here, mentioned you for debug :)

Good rom, but no contacts from sim show. Is here fix?

Try other Contacts app and import contacts from SIM :)

    AOSP Extended is an AOSP based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

    #ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Base Of the ROM & Version?
    ->Rom is based on AOSP

    -Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
    ->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuffs are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.

    -Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
    ->Yes, full Substratum support!

    -Which Gapps are recommended?
    ->OpenGapps or
    ->BeansGApps

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
    ->No.

    -What about XPOSED?
    ->XPOSED For N is not out yet. Still in development. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

    -I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
    ->Provide full info about your problem with logcats and the procedure to reproduce it.
    ->How to take Logcats?

    -Adaway is not working :(

    -SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.

    Changelogs:
    • Upstream to latest 05-10-17 Security Tag
    • Fixed 1080p Video Recording and Playback
    • Fixed 720p60 (less jittery playback)

    Downloads: AEX Downloads

    I would like to thank @AKS12 for figuring out solution to several issues. :)

    Edit: For Gesture support use appropriate kernel. Currently Devil Kernel (by Aryan Kedare) got Gesture support, I might be adding to Daredevil-S. Don't post regarding Gestures not working as the kernel included in the ROM is stock with 0-feature addition.

    Did u mean times remaining?

    Only lenovo can make the update????

    ---------- Post added at 04:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:05 AM ----------

    What????

    Keeping the crap away. It's clear that Lenovo won't release a single update as the device has crossed it's 2 year tenure.
    Don't expect VoLTE support as the OEMs are neither alotted to share modem source codes nor mediatek would release them, unless they are leaked.

    VoLTE requires modem support, more over even if make VoLTE supported modem we won't achieve a proper support of VoLTE on custom ROMs as MTK uses different approach for IMS.

    P.S. Sorry I have been away for a while. It has been already 4 days since release of AEX-4.4. I have gone through a great loss :rolleyes: "My Laptop", so please wait till I recover my stuff and I will release the build in few days. I have already built the ROM but it's crashing on boot. Something related ART has been modified in AEX which I am figuring it out and will release after it is fixed with recent device-specific changes I have shared on other builds.
