This app seems to be really promising. I love utter!
I have also requested access to the group. Will i be added?
Thanks in advance.
BOOM!Hi All,
Due to loads of what appeared to be automated SPAM requests on the G+ group, I had to clear the pending invite list. If you'd like to join up hit the link here and I'll accept you in immediately. Thanks in advance.
The Oreo update which messed with background process handling has meant yet another rebuild. I won't share my woes, I just need to keep my head down to get it finished.
Hope you are all cool and apologies for having to stay under the radar to get this done.
Cheers
Ben
Ben, much as I'm curious and willing to assist, and excited about seeing where you've taken your code, I'm a big fan of not disclosing personal info to Google, hence my intense interest in Utter. Is there a way to participate without signing up for G+?Roll up roll up!!

Done deal.Could you make a fake profile perhaps? It's the crash logging and rollout management that make using a test community a necessity for me... I actually hate the messy layout and can't wait to get back to XDA!
Hi Folks,
Should be live for you very shortly - here
Can't wait to abandon G+ and get back here!
Thank you sir! Glad you like it - I'm hopeless at design, so kept it nice and simple! Hoping some design genius will come along and make some alterations now it's open source.Good to see you back sir! I must say, I'm loving the new design. Looking forward to all that is coming!
Thank you very much.Hi Folks,

No problem.Thank you very much.
Thank you again for making this open source, any link for donations. Much appreciated.
Thanks for trying it out and appreciate the detailed bug report and video! Thanks meter +1 :good:So happy to see this update! ~ SNIP ~ Only issues I have right now (since you were asking for bugs!)
Headsets are a nightmare and always have been. I used various hacks and workarounds in utter! which I've tried to avoid in Saiy, just so I have a clean base to work from. It's problems such as this that have driven me to open source the code and I'm really, really hoping, someone will step in and contribute to the code who knows how to do it properly!
I've just check and the Bluetooth source code isn't in the core that I've released - Oops! I'll push it soon so to make the above possible.
There is sometimes a delay binding to the headset initially - that's why the audio appears to be skipped. I've never been able to work out how to tell when I'm good to start the audio playing - an arbitrary delay of about 2 seconds was my only choice, which I left out...
Not sure what's going on with the audio stuttering. I wonder if it's just your device struggling with the RAM pressure I'm putting it under - having just worked it hard to resolve the command. If you get a moment - could you reboot to blow out the cobwebs - leave your device to settle for a few minutes afterwards - then try the read my last message command. Also try it in aeroplane mode, where the TTS and Recognition will be offline and use less resource.
Thanks in advance and once again for your report! :good:
Will do!No problem.
The best donation you can give me is by spotting a new bug and letting me know! Appreciate the offer though :good:

Thanks for all of the comments and support folks. For all of those eager to test something I'm going to knock up a configuration apk over the weekend. Nothing too exciting I'm afraid, but digesting the comments I've realised I really need to initially focus on the following:
