dd if=/sdcard/vendor.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor_a

"sdcard" for internal memory and "external_sd" for an external SD card.
Depending on the vendor.img you saved from it.

Then simply enter TWRP Advanced> Terminal and the command. This takes a little bit, and then it is finished.

Then follow the instructions as described on the first page.

This should actually work in any case.
Thanks and enjoy

Installed it this morning and it works like a charm.
No more random reboots, even not when charging.
:good::good::good:
Great thanks @ surdu_petru, XePeleato, OldDroid

Awesome job! I really want to install this ROM, especially since the reboot issues are fixed, but after flashing my device gets stuck on the "this device cannot be trusted" message. I have tried different roms, but this happens everytime. Can anyone help? What's especially odd is that I flashed vendor.img (by using the command in the instructions) seemingly successfully, but when I check the partition it shows empty. Can I flash vendor.img using fastboot?

EDIT: tried flashing vendor.img using fastboot, it says "unknown partition for vendor.img" and on the next line "error: cannot determine filename for vendor.img". How can I successfully flash vendor?

I don't understand why you don't follow Installation Instructions :confused: it is state clearly how you can flash vendor, to avoid any issues like your issue :eek:

Thanks for your reply. I tried that. First time it worked fine, but I stupidly wiped vendor for some reason and now the command seems to work but doesn't. Vendor partition stays empty. Sorry if I have been unclear about that.

EDIT: Okay I feel so stupid right now. It was a typo in the dd command, and I was using the command from memory so that's why it failed everytime. Ah well, I learned a lot, at least.
