Can directly flash the new custom rom. Just have a twrp backup in case you face any issue and to restore.
No vendor.img or fingerprint things needed now for you

Thank you very much, it worked! I had to remove my registered fingerprints and pin code defined in Lineage though. Without doing so, the pin code was not recognized after booting in RROS so it was not usable.

I also had to flash gapps again which solved the same issue as @Kevco2017 (post #163 https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=73985208&postcount=163)

I was wondering why RROS (based on Lineage) does not support fingerprints while Lineage does? Also the Clock app from Google is systematically failing? Does anybody have the same problem?

Btw, I'm really impressed by the level of possible customization of RROS!!

And I find that with the Custom ROMS always such a thing. I do not like EMUI personally and therefore also use this ROM. In the future, however, there will be some updates and updates to Android O (8.0). As soon as of course a new source code of RROS is available, which is based on Android 8.0. Please also add an OTA function, so that new files (if available) can be downloaded directly via the settings or an app. Maybe you get something like that. That would be the madness, I would think I had a pixel phone. In addition, I would have still ne question, one can donate to the developers something, I find your work really considerable and would then also accordingly worthy. Info: Sorry if a little of this text makes no or little sense as this has been translated here with the Google translator.

As soon as I start the ROM installation the recovery informs the following "updater process ended with error 7". How do I proceed about this?. Sorry for the bad english, I'm using google translate.

How can I return to EMUI? I did not make a backup. Please a guide that would help me.
Flash the stock full firmware via dload method. Dload method is given in my signature.
Use FF for stock firmware for your model.
Still don't understand the reason of not backing up and just flashing the custom ROM even though no idea of how to go back or how to revive the phone in case of any issue or bricked

Flashed this over LineageOS after being fed up with that ROM rebooting constantly, and it fixed all problems of that version for me! :good:
Everything seems to work beautifully on my device, including even the fingerprint sensor! It doesn't work as a home button, but that's fine - don't need/use that anyway.
It even passes safetynet checks, very nice.

IR is listed in the features of this ROM - how do I actually use it? It doesn't work with the app I used for IR on my previous phone, and I was wondering what I should use with the H9... Does anyone know? Tips appreciated!

I tried both peel remote and peel smart remote, and neither worked on any of my devices. :(

Looking into it more closely, it seems to really be a problem with the IR functionality. Here's the relevant logcat section:

Can you please tell me how you got the finger print sensor to work on RR? Have you done any wipe or just dirty flash RR over Lineage? I've been tryng to get it to work for about two hours with no success :silly:
Thanks in advance, MiKy :)

Sure! I did a clean flash of Lineage (latest version posted in this board as of today), set up the fingerprint sensor in that, and then dirty-flashed RR on top of it, only wiping cache but not data, and not doing any other steps than flashing the zip and gapps. That left my phone still set up as it was on Lineage, with the FPS still working. I'm not sure if you need to do anything else beyond that... I hope you can duplicate my accidental success! :)

Thank you for the reply! :D
I just hat to do another step, because the phone was not recognizing my pin/pattern after flashing RR over Lineage; Basically I deleted the locksettings.db file under Data/System to remove the pin/pattern set in Lineage and I set a new one in RR.
So now the fingerprint sensor is working becouse I still have the registered fingerprint from Lineage :highfive:
