Does this work with Froyo? I mean, can I have Froyo on my flashdrive and booting other images from my sdcard?

Now is possible, the kernel for Desire with Froyo is released.

I think that this project can be more better if not only works with "altboot.ext2", can be possible look for ".ext2", ".ext3" and ".ext4" files and do a little menu similar to recovery for user selecction for boot from anothers existing files with the same procedure?

With this option, we can have "multiboot" option and not flash all different ROM's for try.

A good use will be to have the PSfreedom on the SD card?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772795

and the normal ROM in the device internal memory.

Hi

Is there any way of creating all these files using Windows?

I don't have access to linux, nor have I ever used it and would be afraid of wrecking my SD card!

If there is a method of doing it in windows that would be brilliant, as I would love to be able to dual boot my desire to test ROM upgrades before fully flashing.

Also, this removes the need to re-flash a nand back up if the upgrade boot-loops

I try to apply the patches to the latest HTC kernel sources for the desire.
I have problems with
drivers/input/Makefile

When I apply the changes from gr0gmint's github to that file
Quote:

-obj-$(CONFIG_INPUT_KEYRESET) += keyreset.o
+obj-$(CONFIG_INPUT_KEYRESET) += keyreset.o altboot.o

it won't compile (make tells me that ther eis not rule to compile altboot.o).

Anything you suggest me to do?
