p/s: weird thing happens: install flashtool drivers again but this time option box pops out let me choose z1 drivers but installation failed.

Are you on windows 8?

If so, you need to disable driver signature verification

I have never been able to get Sony Mobile flasher to work, I always seem to get stuck at this point! Any ideas please as I have read lots of post on examples of it not working that normally cover drivers not installed or 64 bit version not been used etc. My devices have boot loader unlocked and when I check drivers it advises everything is ok!

If I run any fastboot mode functions verything is fine, its only when I try and flash anything that I run into this issue of things getting stuck.

i have a sony sol 23 from japan,it was working good untill i try to unlock the boot,now my phone is dead,if i put it in download mode or try anything else...only the red led light for a seconds,and that all,in device manager i don't seen it,is completely dead,even in flashtool isn't seen.What else to try?please excuse my english,i'm from romania...

Hi everyone, I don't want to be much of a bother so I'll drop a quick question and any help will be appreciated.

I got a new laptop and want to know the easiest and fastest way to install the fastboot and flashmode drivers on my new Windows 10 laptop so I can access Fastboot both from Flashtool and cmd prompt. I remember finding an exe somewhere that just installed the drivers instantly and involved no special effort. Can flashtool do the same? Thanks

The TA partition is ONLY for when you want to unlock the bootloader to install custom ROMs. If you only want to install a certain rootable Firmware, just make a back-up of your stuff, make sure you have the drivers for your XZ1 installed and flash the Firmware you want. Leave the checkboxes as it is.

Now in the event that you do want to unlock your bootloader you must create a back-up of your TA partition first. If you unlock your bootloader w/o a TA partition back-up you will loose your DRM keys. Unfortunately you can't grab somebody else's TA back-up and use it on your phone as this will brick your phone.

As a summary, go ahead download Androxdye's Flashtool, download the firmware you want, make sure you have drivers properly installed, back-up all you stuff, leave the checkboxes as it is (assuming of course that you didn't forget to back-up you contacts, SMS, MMS, audio, videos, other files etc.), and flash away.

hey can i get some help because when i flash the ftf file it just says error .aborted with out anything else shown on the screen. I cant boot into recovery but the phone boots fine
