theres a new build on zingstaging (who dell own)

looks like its o2 build,just booting mine..

Be aware it does a factory reset so BACK UP..

2.1Update1 is the build..
so far very very nice..

I think this is beta BTW, if you're concerned wait till it comes OTA straight to your streak

can we still add homescreens? like in 1.6

dont think I made this clear enough!

THIS IS FOR 21 baseband streaks UK

rename to update.pkg
boot into stock recovery (clockwork doesnt recognise .pkg files)

yes its 2.1

yes it has scrolling backgrounds not like the 1.6 so one image, 5 screens..

and live wallpapers

it also has 720p recording, but looks like 8fps !

I'm on koush's recovery atm

Or do you think i should get home informt of an adb window before start??

I think you need to be in fastboot..

Doesn't work if you bought your streak from Dell website.

I think I will just wait for an OTA update, but will it work since I m using my Iphone 3gs contract sim as i brought my streak from Cpwh outright on launch.
Please let me know if not i will just stick a pay & go sim on my streak to recieve the update then stick the 3gs sim back into the streak after thats done

I have just finished downloading it and I'm flashing it now, I will make a rooted update.zip of 2.1 for our non UK friends.

been into the o2 store today on my lunch to play with the streak... said there was an update adavilable and to connect to wifi to download it. guess o2 are pushing this out OTA now?

Any news on getting the 1.2 update to work on unlocked dell streaks? i.e the ones bought directly from dell and not through carphone warhouse or o2?

Just d/l the update and stick it on you sd card, it will work perfectly!

Does anyone know how the ROMManager ‘remove recovery’ option works? I’m thinking about giving this a try so that I can revert to stocl recovery and flash me some 2.1 goodnes !!

Just follow this http://android.modaco.com/content-p...cess-acore-has-stopped-unexpectedly/page/20/# and instead of official dell rom use update available few post above. works perfect... You will get an O2 splash screen :/ anyone knows how to remove it?

Arent we lucky we get that lovely O2 splash eh? ....I've always had it just need to root to get rid of it, I sent you a pm with info.
