I have this issue with touch screen with this kernel for quite a while now. If I charge my tablet overnight or keep on charger during day for a while, the touch screen will become unresponsive when I try to use it. It seems like it happens after the tablet goes to deep sleep. It doesn't happen if I keep on using it while charging.

Device will not wake up with DT2W. It will with the power button, but you can't unlock it or do anything. Touch screen will not register anything. Only option is to force reboot it by keep on pressing power button. Then it works fine again. Repeat the cycle.

It can't be hardware issue since it never happens with the stock kernel (of stock ROM or Lineage OS). Only when I install this kernel whether on stock ROM or Lineage OS.

Is it possible to troubleshoot it @flar2?
I have same problem. How can I fix?

No idea. Don't think dev himself has much of a clue about it.

Here's a trick that sort of works for me. Lock the tablet before plugging in the cable, then unlock the tablet after plugging in the cable & then put it down & let it keep on charging.

Has anyone tried flashing v7 with Unlegacy Oreo? I can't seem to get past the Google boot screen. The Nougat version works fine with Lineageos 14.1, so I'm fairly certain I'm flashing the kernel correctly.

I see in EXK app that there is a 7.02 build. I'm using Valadus Oreo 8.1 on 7.0 and everything seems to work fine so do I need to use 7.02?
I haven't used this tablet in months and decided to play with Oreo so I'm behind on what's going on with EXk

Just some guidance

Hey all sorry to post this here but I went thru a good 30 or so pages before I broke down and figured I would ask.I saw mentions of using aroma etc for the zip,am I not able to flash via twrp recov?I'm running Lin 14.1 on a N7 flo and am hoping this will smooth out responsiveness and the features look baller. Any guidance would be great, I don't need a step by step on flashing, I just want to be sure I do this correctly, it is the stock 14.1 kernel FYI. Thanks again

Flash on twrp like normal, the aroma installer pops up when the kernel zip is flashing

Hi, I'm using LineageOS 14.1 with your 6.17 kernel.
Is there any way to disable the usb charging at all in your kernel ? I am connecting my tablet to the dji controller so would be nice to avoid charging the tablet from controller battery.
I don't really think there is any option for it in your app but any manual way would you suggest please?

Hey, im using Lineage 15.1 with elemntalx 7.02 and i had seen that it is not fast charging my device. Can someone confirm that it works, because current always are below zero or just a little bit higher than zero, so it always are discharging when not in use. How much voltage should normal be with fast charging?

What cable and charger are you using? Are you using an OTG cable (and if so, what devices do you have attached?) And finally, what app are you using to determine what you're charging current is?

I have a 2A charger and an OTG cable connected with a bus-powered hub and a thumb drive. I use the Ampere app so I can have a simple widget on my desktop that shows current and if the battery is below ~95% or so it will usually charge between 600mA and 1000mA, mostly depending on screen brightness. If it's close to 100% the charge rate will drop to help protect the battery and I'll usually see it around 300-500mA.

I know it's been a while since your post so hopefully you have since already figured it out, but if not hope this helps!

I'm using Nexus7 2013 last factory build Android 6 MOB30X with Elemental 6.17, all's good, thanks for your work.

BUT, I have another N7 I'm trying to set up, flashed MOB30X, TWRP, ElementalX, boots fine, though, can not enable settings like Power & Performance or Advanced Settings, what did I overlook?
Thanks

Oops, I think it's because new unit is not rooted....
all good, Magisk installed, sorry

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has solved this issue with the msm_otg wakelock that occurs when external power is disconnected while keeping the OTG Y cable plugged in.

I'm using a 2013 Nexus 7 32gb 4G Deb model, on the latest LineageOS Nougat ROM and the latest ElementalX for Nougat kernel.

It's a semi-fixed install, in that the tablet is easily removed but I intend to leave it permanently in the car for music, nav, and the backup camera. All of this generally works great, with the exception of the msm_otg kernel wakelock.

I did also purchase the EX Kernel Manager app in case there's a solution there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

For maximum compatibility with all ROMs, ElementalX uses your existing ramdisk.
Do NOT flash this over other custom kernels!
You should only flash ElementalX over the kernel that came with your ROM!!!

    Update!!!
-enforcing/permissive is now optional. Permissive.zip is no longer needed if you uncheck "Enforcing" during installation.

You don't need to flash Chainfire's boot.img anymore.

For stock ROM, it will automatically add the correct sepolicy.

For custom ROMs that need permissive mode, make sure you uncheck "Enforcing" in the installer options.

    Update!!

    For Android 4.4.3

If you did the wifi fix to get the older kernel working on Android 4.4.3, you need to dirty flash your ROM.

There weren't a ton of changes, so I just did the update. I will look into the Logitech receiver and update the CM version and anything else later.
