It's a known bug where this app randomly stops working.

Been meaning to contact the dev to suggest it might be to do with applications using notification LED.

I see no change in power usage via PowerTutor using this on my HTC Desire (AMOLED).
Does anyone see a change?

Nonetheless, this is a great app for lowering screen brightness below the minimum!

Alternatively, stock kernel users who've clockwork reccovery modded can install this kernel patch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=10325268

Works great for me! Unfortunately not much of a battery life increase; display is still by far the greatest battery offender.

Alternative method to download screenfilter!
Hi everyone, I've seen the app in a friend's phone, it's just what I need.

But I can't download it from the market!
I'm using an Android tablet (Cant access the market with this device!), is there any other way to download or get this app?

I really need it!

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

I'm using Darkys Rom 9.1, which has installed Screenfilter by default. But since I couldn't get to configure how much it should decrease the brightnessm, I tried to delete and reinstall it.

Well, unistallation wasn't a problem, but I can't get this damn app reinstalled. I start the download in the market and nothing happens (well, it seems like the app will be downloaded, but then nothing happens).

Can anybody help?

//Edit:

I just reflashed Darkys Rom. Since it's just a reflash on the same version I didn't wipe and now everythin works fine.
