3) Use Odin to install TWRP
-put your device into download mode (Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power Buttons for 5-8 seconds, when it asks, press Volume Up to continue)
-plug your device into the computer, let it get recognized, etc.
-put the .tar file into the "PDA" section in Odin, hit Start. Once it reboots, it should be done
4) Use TWRP to install SuperSU 2.02
-download SuperSU 2.02
-save it to your internal or external card, somewhere you'll remember it
-launch TWRP by pressing and holding Volume UP + Home + Power Buttons
-go into Install and find the "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip" file, and install that.
5) Reboot and enjoy!

Sorry to resurrect old post....but does doing this erase the data on my phone?

It shouldn't, unless something goes horribly wrong. I mean, this is for a tablet, if you're talking about a phone, you might be in the wrong section.

You should be fine then also I just happened to be near my computer. I'm not around a lot this week, if you have any issues, ask, though it could be as much as a day or two before I get back to you.

Dear Chainfire
why don't update zip root packages with SUPER SU last version ?
So we 4.4.2 owners will simply root our devices without having the problem that Super-su old version block the device ?
thanks
I'm a newbe and I need SD write permissions on my tablet only ...............

Thanks for highlighting that the old version of Super-su blocks the device. I didn't know. Could one replace the version that is in this package with the current one on the Playstore, or will the device be blocked anyway, so this CF-Auto-Root is a dead end?
