It works well here. I failed to reproduce as I change the HTTP client library and how I use it.
But update date for the source you link definitely works now.

Isn't automatic build basically for nightlies?

Not really. You could choose a lot of different mode.
For example, F-Droid server watches AdAway GitHub repository to find tags which match a specific versioning pattern.

Thank you so much!

I installed version 4.2.0 on my OnePlus3 running LOS15.1. And buttons don't resize according to the current orientation, see attached screenshot.

For me it shows some red stripes on the right side. Pixel 3, Dirty Unicorns (Android Pie), "Magisk 18.0. I think those are part of the missing" deactivate adblocking" button.

Not sure if a log file will be helpful here.

Make your system font size smaller. What's happening is the one button is so large it can't fit the second button, even with word wrap, so it pushes it to the edge. German uses a lot of characters, which is why the one button is so big. In English (or Polish) this isn't an issue. (Didn't try other languages)

Might have to stack the buttons on top of each other rather than side by side to ensure this doesn't happen

Everything seems to work fine with the update to 4.2, but geez, the new font type and size was a bit jarring to me.
