Anyway it can import a playlist over 100 songs? My main playlist has like 1400 songs, when I import it it only loads the first 100 songs.

Glad to hear you liked the app, yes once a music has played it's cached and is available offline, cache can be cleared either manually or automatically when cache size is over exceeding 400MB or if a music hasn't been played for week.

I do plan to have better cache management like indicating which track can be played offline.

I just paid for the app but can't download it, says something went wrong...?

I'm sorry to hear that, that seems to be a problem with XDA labs.
But in any case XDA version of app is same as play store version, and payment is nicer way of donation (As is mentioned in description)
If XDA labs is not letting you download you can download from playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=deep.ryd.rydplayer,
Or from some APK downloader like apkpure.

Thank you for supporting. Hope app satisfies you :)

Hey man.
I tried using the app from f-droid and Google play but I don't have control music in notification in any of them.

Tried clearing all data and reinstalling app - Nothing.
Tried restarting - Also nothing.

I am running Xiaomi mi mix stock.

Thanks for help in advance.

Hi,
Do you not receive any notification from app or is it that music can't be controlled when pressing button in notification.

If you don't receive notification at all can you check app settings once to verify that notification are not blocked?
And can you open a issue on github page to help track it?

I created a playlist, but I can't seem to see where I can favorite a track or put it in a playlist?

Also the lock screen notification is hidden and doesn't show the controls. That might be my own setting issue, but I can't seem to find it on lineage 15 OS. Newpipe app lockscreen controls show with same security settings, as do google play music.

Hi to add a track to playlist, favorites etc, go to tracks tab and slide the track left/right.. it will reveal options for tab including add to playlist, favourite, delete etc.

And thanks for reporting notification security issue. I'll try to fix it, you can open a GitHub issue to track of it.

Music Piped is a free and open source full-featured Music Player that instead of playing local Music files streams from youtube.

You can stream any music available on youtube for free.
The app is completely free open source, features no IAP, no ads. Just download app, search your song, and stream!

At core it uses NewPipeExtractor to get streams from YouTube hence can play almost any YouTube stream.

Features an inbuilt search to search YouTube, an adjustable playing queue, custom playlists and more. No song is stored in device it's directly streamed from google server hence saving space.

It does not streams video and only fetches audio files thus eliminating heavy data usage of videos,
It's full featured music player so you can enjoy background playback with notification controls, and you don't need to keep screen on and focused like YouTube to listen to your music.
It does not track you, there is no tracking system at all, you don't even need Google APIs to use app.

It's a work in progress app, so use at your own risk.

Very intersting app ! My daughter will love it !
    Some cosmetic remarks, see screenshots.
Is it possible to reduce the size of the "top artist" and "artist" icons ? The resolution of the pics are so small that the viewing is ugly.

    Hi,
tested your app yesterday. Works very well. Love it for live performances only available on youtube.
I'm just missing an option to share the content to to a wifi speaker. That would make the app awesome.

If I click on settings nothing happens. Is this a bug or are there no settings right now?

Hi, thank you for testing it out,
Sharing content to a WiFi speaker isn't something I'd thought of, I'll look if I can implement it.
And yeah, there r no settings currently. The app is work in progress. There r some features which aren't implemented yet, like settings and shuffle.

    You'll see them working soon

Thats good news! (I use Fennec, not sure if notifications work there, but caching is a serious issue due to bandwidth/dataplans.)
I totally dont mind waiting for this to develop, and if youve learned something in the process then more power to you. ;)
If you get those minor things sorted out, thisll easily qualify as my favorite streaming app.
/edit: One last thing, the seek function seems a pit picky at times. Maybe increase the area in which is recognizes input a bit.
