Basically domain names.Oh okay thank you, sorry but last question. If i use a google dns server, what type of data are sent over to google?
Hi Marcel,Basically domain names.
Search for "privacy friendly DNS" using your favorite search engine for a more privacy friendly DNS provider.
https://dns.watch/ but who knows? Who checks?Could you please tell us which DNS provider you use personnaly having a good privacy protection (no log, no censure) from your point of view ?

Since Cloudflare is slowly taking control of the internet, which is unfortunately not an exaggeration, I am advising against using anything from Cloudflare.

OpenDNS is run by a commercial US company. I will leave the rest to your imagination.Good thought, thanks. As an aside, how do you feel about OpenDNS these days?
What about 1.1.1.1 ?Hi Marcel,
Could you please tell us which DNS provider you use personnaly having a good privacy protection (no log, no censure) from your point of view ?
I have already given my opinion about Cloudflare (DNS = 1.1.1.1)
If you are concerned about privacy avoid companies with ties to the US. I have mentioned dns.watch before. Look for companies based in the EU or Switzerland, but not the UK.
DNS providers are like VPN providers. They all claim they don't log anything. That's why it's very hard to choose a trusted supplier.OpenDNS is run by a commercial US company. I will leave the rest to your imagination.
An access point with no gateway (assuming that is what you meant) won't work.Hello.
I'm running netguard 2.250.
And I've run into an obscure issue...
If I: disable mobile data, enable wifi, connect to accesspoint with no gw. I get that: "0 allowed, xxx blocked", I would expect (and please enlighten me if I'm wrong) that the apps that are allowed to access wifi would be able to connect to ports on the accesspoint.
I've not got Subnet routing enabled. I wouldn't expect that to be required.
